What would you do?

If someone else was paying for a getaway for you and your husband for your anniversary, would you choose to buy a 3 day pass and just use one of the days OR would you choose to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? Hubby has not been to one of the theme parks in over 10 years, but I used to have annual passes when I was in my early 20s. It's a dream of mine to have him join me. If you have seen my posts on the Budget Board, you'll know that we are both in school full-time and that money is tight. I will stress that this is a gift from family. Looking forward to hearing what you think.

There sounds like a lot of special things here. I don't think it would be a giant splurge to have a day ticket and a party ticket for that day. It sounds like you'll use both to get the most time together in the parks..

I'm not sure I understand your question, what the options are that you're considering. Do you mean a 3-day, non-expiring ticket, so that you have two other days to go at another time? And the MVMCP - would that be only going to the party? Or combining it with park-time on the same day, whether at MK or another park?

I don't understand the question either. Why would you buy a 3 day pass but only use one day of it? Why not just buy a 1 day pass? But if it is either/or, and your husband hasn't been in quite some time, I would forego the MVMCP and just do a regular day at MK.
