has anyone out there eaten at Mama Melros' before? I've heard mixed reviews and wanted to know if it was good.

We like it, especially the Fantasmic! package. We've had caesar salad, minestrone soup, tomato/mozzarella and calamari appetizers - all delicious, especially the soup!
Chicken parm is a huge serving, steak with mac and cheese, spaghetti - all enjoyable.
Dessert sampler (part of package) isn't very good though IMO.
This was our second meal here and we would do it again.

We thought it was pretty good, except the dessert platter. I had the chicken and potatoes. The tomato and mozzarella appetizer was very good. The rest of my family had the Caesar salad and the steak which was good.

We've eaten there a couple of times and enjoyed it. I had the steak both times. Tender and delicious. I would have no hesitation eating there again. But on both occasions (lunch) we had a considerable delay being seated. About 30 minutes past our ADR. I hint that's fairly common there.

We did the Fantasmic package and loved the food. I would definitely eat there again.

We have eaten there the last two trips and really enjoyed our meals. We liked the atmosphere and the food was very good. If you are on the DP, the Fantasmic package is a great deal as you get an appetizer too.

We ate there years ago, and we have never wanted to go back. I think our server left, but didn't tell anyone to cover our table. We had to flag different people down to order our drinks and food. We waited a really time for our food and when it came it was cold. Needless to say, we weren't impressed.

It sounds like the majority here though had a great experience...maybe I should give it another try.

We had a server who was so cheerful she scared me. Really, bizarrely chipper. Good service, though we cringed every time she checked on us.

We didn't like the dessert sampler. They will bring you gelato or an alternative if you don't want the sampler, though you have to ask. They do present the sampler as something with no alternative.

We did the Fantasmic Package. Starters and Mains were nice, didn't enjoy the desserts. Server was pretty useless, and didn't take the right credits from us, and gave us the wrong receipt, which causes problems later in the week. Atmosphere was ok, but we wouldn't go back.

Food was pretty good. Seemed to me to be a bit tight in there space wise but this could have only been where we were, and right next to the kitchen door. Chicken Parm was big enough for us to share.

Thinking of booking here for our upcoming trip, too. The menu looks good, but I was concerned about negative reviews. Good to hear some positive ones. :thumbsup2

WE had lunch there on Thursday and it was excellent! The appetizers we chose were resh and delicious,:calimari, mussels, and teh tomato and mozz. salad.

Entrees were the steak, the pork saltmboca, (my son did not like it) chicken parm and some of the pasta dishes. I forget which ones. All were very good, except the pork.

Desserts were from the Fantasmic package, adn so we all got the sampler. WE enjoyed portions of this but I wish they offered a choice,

Mama Melrose is one of our favorite restaurants in DHS (besides Sci Fi). We really like the food, atmosphere, and the service has always been excellent. I really enjoy the flatbread pizzas and the chicken parm while DH likes the steak there. As for our DD12 and DD14, they like anything there because they love Italian food. I like this restaurant also because it is one of those restaurants that if we don't have an ADR for, we could walk up and get a table, sometimes we have waited 10-15 minutes (like any normal restaurant outside of Disney) or we got seated right away.

We enjoyed the Fantasmic package there. The food was great just didn't like the dessert sampler. My kids desserts were good though! Oh and it was slow service and we had to wait 45 minutes for a table( but our reservation time was 4:40) so we ate at a better time due to waiting! We would do the Fantasmic package again there.

We have eaten there and really liked it. We are planning on going again next year. Although, I don't remember too much about dessert. I'm guessing it was nothing special or it wasn't good. We did wait a little after our ADR. I find at DHS that usually happens, more so at 50's PTC.

I was pleasantly surprised with Mama Melrose. I had the mussels for an appetizer and seafood arrabiatta for entree. DH had the steak and thought it was the best steak he had during the whole trip. I liked the tiramisu on the dessert plate. My DDs had the penne with vodka sauce and thought it was good. We did the Fantasmic package as well.
