Lockers at parks

Aren't there lockers at the entrance of each park? How much do they cost? I really don't want to carry around extra clothes, poncho's etc if I don't have to. I'm thinking about storing everything in a locker that may be a 'just in case' need. Thoughts from those who have used them?

1. Yes. (Also, a separate set of them at the International Gateway at Epcot.)

2. It can vary. Click HERE.

3. We use the lockers very often, especially on days that will likely have a dramatic change in weather conditions.

Thanks, Robo. I'll admit I'm a little lazy for not just looking up how much they cost. I'll do that later. I am interested to hear from those of you who have used the lockers in the past. Did you like it? Was it inconvenient to have to go all the way back to the locker to get something? Would you use it again? Last time we went, I had a stroller to use to store all of our stuff. Now, that we are past the stroller stage, I'm looking forward to being a little more hands free.

I don't know if they still do this, but when we went you could rent a locker at say MK and if you were going to a different park on the same day they gave you a slip to turn in at the second park and you only had to pay the refundable deposit at that park.

We often used to rent lockers, and in my youth, I was quite capable of power walking back to the front of the park to get things if necessary. Now it's a tossup for me.

Are they big enough to fit a regular size backpack in?

Define "regular size backpack".

I think I'm losing this argument, but to me, a regular size backpack is big enough for backpacking, and definitely wouldn't fit into a locker, at least not the small ones. But things that I'm used to calling "knapsacks" or "daypacks" but other people call "backpacks" will.

You only have to pay for a locker once per day. If you pay for a locker at any Disney park and then go to any other Disney park later, keep your receipt. After you pay for the first locker of the day, the rest of the day is free, with receipt.

I often use during cooler months when I don't want to carry a coat all day. (FYI I'm very cold natured, so to me anything below 65 degrees is arctic!) I'll also throw my refillable mug in there. _I_ don't think it is practical for rain ponchos and you never know when the rain will start....

Locker sizes:

  • Small locker - 11"H x 9"W x 16" Deep
  • Large locker - 17"H x 12"W x 22" Deep
Judge for yourself if your backpack will fit, There are fewer large lockers than small ones.

And, not all parks have large and small lockers.

We've used lockers quite a few times, liked it. It can be inconvenient to have to go all the way back if you're at the other end of the park, but definitely better than going back to the car. We'll use them again, just to have stuff there just in case the weather changes, etc. The small ones barely fit my big new backpack but I can always get it in there
