Wet, Sweat, Fun & Sun But You Have HOW Many Snack Credits Left?

Mike took another picture of the fountain & Spaceship Earth Ball (I'm sure there's an official name for it, but I tend to refer to it as the large golf ball).

We got a Photopass picture done next.

We headed towards the World Showcase. We stopped at the gift shop to pick up Passports for the kids to do at the different countries. You get your book stamped at each country, you have stickers to put in the book and you can make notes in it. We thought this would help the kids stay more interested in this part of Epcot. Mike went up to the water and took these as he looked across the lake at all the different countries.

Our first country was Mexico.

The kids found the "Kidcot" where they would get their passports stamped and then they were also given a Duffy Bear picture on a stick that they also stamped and then either drew a small picture or wrote something in their language on the back. The kids sat at the table and colored their bears before we moved on.

Once the kids had their passports & Duffy done, we headed down into the "village" to see the different wares available for purchase. Love to look at the stuff from Mexico as it's so brightly colored.

We got in line to ride the Three Caballero's. We wanted to keep Michayla in her chair....but if we had realized the way they do this, and that we wouldn't all be able to ride together, we would have transferred her onto a regular boat. So the wheelchair accessible boat, the chair wheels up the ramp in the middle of the boat to the front. An adult has to sit on each side (you sit lower) and hold onto the chair during the trip. There are 3 single seats on each side of the w/c ramp. So Mike & Shy ended up riding on a different boat behind us. This is a fun boat ride with the Three Caballero's leading the way as you tour Mexico.

I am finally here. I go away for a couple of weeks and you are already on page 14. I am loving all of the pictures! They are so great.

We were surprised to hear that some schools in Oregon were starting before Labor Day. We still start on the 9th. Can't wait to read more about your trip.

Have a great weekend. I actually got tickets to go to my first UO Duck football game. I have worked concessions, but haven't actually been able to go. My daughter, Marissa, does color guard, so I will be able to see her. Plus, my sister and her family (that live in Washington), are coming as well. Their kids just graduated EWU, so they are coming to cheer on EWU.

Glad you found me!!!

Philomath last minute decided on this change but Corvallis doesn't start until after Labor Day. Just weird........

YAY on the Duck tickets!!! You're going to have a blast!! My sons have gone to a few of the games (Tyler would love to go to all of them.....lol) and had the opportunity to go this weekend too but is heading down to Medford for his yearly fantasy football draft....so he had to turn down the game (shocked I am!!). Go Ducks!!!!

Nice update. Yea I figured that food rocks thing was gone. And now I remember the circle of life. So not much has changed. We did the passports too. The first time with Lynn and then the next time with the girls. They had masks to color and at the end that got a certificate or something for getting them all filled out. I don't know if they still have it but last time we did these things for Kim Possible too. You get these phones and go on adventures finding stuff. The girls loved it. I hated epcot the first time I went cuz I thought it was boring but now it is one of my faves. Guess I am getting old LOL.

We got them filled out but we weren't told about a certificate if it was done....but a neat souvenir for the kids. They have a Phineas & Ferb version of the Kim Possible thing, we didn't do this (or tell the kids)....I was afraid this activity would take over and that's all we would get done.

Love Epcot's World Showcase & still want to spend more time looking around!!

Yea I swear they got something for getting the whole passport filled out but that was also over 10 years ago so who knows. And yea we had the time because it was just us and we had 2 days there and I know that Epcot can get boring for the kids so they enjoyed it. When it was Kim Possible they had them for each country but we only did 2. It is neat though cuz things literally interact or at least they did. But I agree if you are on a time crunch def NOT the time to do it. Esp during summer. I am hoping the Frozen ride will be done when we go because we love the boat rides. We loved the Mexico one before and even still with the new one we enjoy it and I am looking forward to the Frozen ride although we loved the old one too.

I love the Epcot pictures. I love doing the countries thing every time. Last summer in the England pavillion, I made them include One Direction :rotfl2: I did the agent P thing both in December and last summer and I loved doing those.

I'm so not happy about the Frozen ride taking over Maelstrom.......ugh!

I think the kids would have enjoyed doing the Agent P activity.....but I just wasn't sure I wanted to spend our time doing that this trip.

I agree I would have preferred it to stay the way it was BUT what I meant was I just hope it is done. There aren't a ton of rides in World Showcase so I really enjoyed the few there were. You never saw the old Mexico ride but I enjoyed it and there was a big bruha when they added the caballeros but I like them both. I really enjoy the whole pyramid and we ate in there once and liked it. I also like Norway and we love Akershus and have eaten there a few times. We also love Germany and I wish they had a ride but I enjoy most of those countries. My least faves are Japan and China and Italy doesn't have a whole lot either. Love Morrocco and we have eaten at Markesch twice and also really liked it. Ahhh I can't wait talking about it all LOL

Make sure you time it to see the drummers in Japan!! The quick service in Germany gives you a TON of food.....we did it in 2013. We've never made it to Akershus, but partly because we always got our CRT reservation and I didn't feel like we needed a 2nd princess meal. (also the reason we changed our 1900 Park Fare from dinner to breakfast).

Mike is always spotting flowers & plants to photograph where a lot of us, just pass by.

Epcot tee.....kinda wish I had picked one up for Mike!

The kids tried on the sombreros before we left the Mexico area.

Our next country was Norway.

Mike & I stepped into the Kringla Bakery to see the treats and also order a couple to share with the family.

Derek got the kids to the Kidcot to get their stamps and such while we were in the bakery.

We got a Troll Horn and a Strawberry Waffle to share.

A few more assorted pictures from Norway. Weird story but true.......We were standing and finishing up our snacks and this gentlemen comes up with a strong European accent and asks if Mike will pose with his camera (with the waterfall in the background) and pretend to be taking a picture of something in the area. So Mike did and the guy took his picture.........it was strange but it's a style he likes doing??

We finished in Norway and walked all the way to China (ok, not a long walk at all when in Epcot....lol)

These are from inside the lobby to the theater to watch the film Reflections of China.

Inside the theater waiting for the film to start.

Some of the items displayed and/or for sale in the gift shops.

Kidcot in China.

Mike spotted Mulan in the distance.

Mike got a picture of this......a rock?? a tree stump?? I'm thinking rock.......

This gentleman was whittling wood in the African Outpost (basically just a gift shop).

Germany was our next stop.

Of course we had to go inside of Karamell Kuche (caramel heaven). Look at these treats!!

Everyone picked a treat: Rice Krispy Treat with Chocolate & Caramel, Apple & Oatmeal Cookie with Caramel, Caramel Smore (graham cracker, caramel, marshmallow & dipped in chocolate), Caramel & Marshmallow Roll, Chocolate & Caramel Covered Strawberries.

Finishing up in Germany after eating our sweet caramel treat.

Went inside the gift shop just as the rain arrived. The kids did the Kidcot for their passports as we looked around.

If anyone with lots of money is looking for a way to spend some......I'm in the market for a Cuckoo Clock but can't afford any of these beauties........ ;)

We wasted time in the shop hoping the rain would stop. It had slowed to barely a sprinkle, so we headed outside and ran into these 2 German Castmembers, so we had the kids pose for a picture with them.

Love the pics. And yum on all the goodies. I can't remember if we tried stuff at Norway but I think we did once on one of our trips but I LOVE the Karamel Kuche. SO good!! loving all the pretty pics of the different countries!!

Between the bakery in Norway and the caramel shop in Germany......I could get into serious trouble.....calorie wise!!

We decided we needed to go back home to America for a visit.

We went inside to watch the American Adventure Show. With the wheelchair, we had to go upstairs in an elevator. We didn't get to see the singers that perform in the rotunda (bummer).

What a happy group......lol

Inside the theater.

The kids got their passports stamped at the Kidcot station.

Our adventure next took us to Japan.

The kids liked the Koi Fish.

See the Mickey on the drain?

Looking around.......

The kids found the Kidcot for Japan.
