Official 2015 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread.

Almost time.....we have early flight tomorrow.
Good luck to the 5kers and can't wait to join everyone for the fun this weekend.
Safe travels, great runs, and Disney magic are definitely on the agenda this weekend.

I shouldn't be this excited about the 5K ... but I totally am! No line for item pick-ups at 630pm - it was a breeze. Saw the Dooney bag and fell in love - Hubs purchased the medium-sized one but I don't get it until my birthday in 2 weeks. I guess I had a change of heart when I saw it in person.

I'm in corral C for the the 5K. I'm in the back of the back, I think. But it's okay because I'm going to do my best!

I owe a big THANK YOU to the gal/guy who found my gear bag with my bib and race shirt inside and turned it in. Can you believe after that article earlier this week about someone just using the lost bib they had found to run a race in , I lose mine!! I had not even known I had lost it. We were already at Disneyland when I received a voicemail (because I missed the call as I was on Splash Mountain) about them having my bib and shirt and that someone had turned it in to lost and found. I at first freaked out trying to remember where I could have left it. I was everywhere and had multiple bags and a backpack to manage. Was probably when I was at speaker series and I had to run out to meet a friend. Then my mind remembered the article and how bad things could have been, then was so very thankful and grateful to this girl or guy or family that did the right thing. I applaud you for being an honest person and saving my weekend. Bibs I'm sure will continue to be lost and found, but this story should remind us all that there are still good people out there, and a lot are runners. Thanks again:-):thanks::flower1::flower1::thanks:

So I'm here now but hopefully in about 3 hours I'll be enroute to my hotel and then headed to the expo.

Does anyone know if any of the vendors at the expo are selling Racedots? I wandered the expo for awhile looking for them but did not see any displays.
 
We gave up on the party last night- wasn't going to wait forever in character lines and decided sleep was more important than rides.. 5k was fun, never felt super crowded and we finished much faster than I expected my non running husband to do (just under 49 min) so not too shabby :)

5K was fun. Probably my favorite Disney 5K course so far - so much park time! Only 3 corrals for this one, which was surprising. Character turnout was okay (McQueen and Mater, Cowboy Chip & Dale, Pinnochio & Geopetto - the one we stopped for - and Snow White & Charming). Great race overall!

After the race I saw my first-ever bandits in the flesh - two of them together. Their bibs were 1. Exactly the same (same number, same name), 2. On the backs of their shirts, and 3. Had white edges and white paper where the safety pin holes should have been...the numbers looked a little fuzzy so they were clearly copied. Someone called them out on it and they got a deer-in-headlights look before shuffling as far away as they could. :sad2: Ugh. People are jerks.

Thanks for posting the pics. Looks like a really fun race.

I just got back to my room to rest and realized there are no safety pins in any of the bags I got. Stink..back to the expo I go.
