Damn you Mr Werner!!!!!

A couple of quick questions guys:

Is this two players?

Can 1.0 work on 3.0

Do the figures "save" on your game once you have them? I'm so mad at my self that I said I'm not getting into this now look at me!

Anyone else have this and love it?

Right there with you. I think the tax fairy will be bringing me the PS 4. DH wants the new Star Wars game, so it is not JUST for me. :teeth:

The figures and power discs from 1.0 and 2.0 work on 3.0 but only in the toy box mode. However, the exception to that will be the upcoming Marvel playset which the 2.0 Marvel figures are suppose to work inside of. In the playsets you can play either solo or two players.

We have 2.0 and so I told myself I wouldn't buy 3.0 (annoying you have to basically re-buy the set) ... but know I am at least opening the possibility

As the PP indicated, the figures and power discs from 1.0 and 2.0 will work, but only in toy box mode

At least in 2.0 you can play 2 player in toy box mode as well ... that is mostly what my kids play as they enjoy building crazy setups and then playing as Elsa and Ironman and riding on Sven or in an Autopia Car, etc.

What are power discs?
There are 2 types on power discs. The circle power discs go under the character pieces on the base and give the character you are playing additional "powers" such as collecting more "money" when completing tasks or breaking things open, or additional attack or defense power. In the new version one of the circle power discs gives you a sidekick in the Star Wars playset(s). The hexagon shape discs go where the playset pieces go on the base and are only usable in the toy box mode. They do one of three things, they give you a vehicle or weapon to use, they change the theme of the sky, or they change the theme of the ground. You can use 2 circle discs and/or 3 hexagon discs at a time.

In 1.0 and 2.0 these discs were sold in blind bags with 2 discs in each and the only info you had was which series it fell in and you could feel through the packaging if it was a circle or hexagon disc(s). In 3.0 they are sold in clear packaging in sets of 4. The Tomorrowland and Twilight of the Republic sets comes with 3 hexagon and 1 circle disc, the Rise Against the Empire and Zootopia come with 2 of each, and The Good Dinosaur set comes with 4 hexagon pieces.

So, do mickey, Minnie, Mulan and Olaf actually unlock anything or are they purely for use in the toy box and no different to just using any of the characters that belong to a playset?

It allows you to play as those characters in the toy box. If I remember correctly from putting new characters on the base over the weekend, each character will unlock additional items to be used in the toy box. The only thing that gets unlocked at the end is if you have all of the characters and that have each reached level one and you go into the Hall of "" it unlocks something in 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0.

So basically it's an expensive skin for toy box mode gameplay with a couple of items to use to decorate the toy box.
It would be cool if they had a disney play set and you could just use any of the "excess" characters in it (ones not associated with a play set)

I want to!! But I get terrible motion sickness from most games these days.
I can really only play platformers like mario and sonic and DK and crash bandicoot. And also the old GTA 2 and I LOVE the Sims.

For example, I can't play lego Harry potter, any shooter type games etc.
I watched a YouTube clip of someone playing Infinity 2.0 when I was considering buying that, and 3 minutes in, I had terrible motion sickness that lasted hours and hours.

What's annoying is I can read, sleep, lay down in a moving car or bus. I don't have to be able to see out the window, planes are no bother, even boats (though I've never cruised) but flipping games give me the most horrific motion sickness... And I love gaming!!!

So, I need to see gameplay of the inside out play set (I think pete and Dustin mentioned that play set is like a platformer?) and also the platformer part of toy box.

Oh... And I don't have the Internet at home as yet.

I'm a lost cause, go on without me!! There's no room on the door for me!!

I'm also looking forward to Mario Maker!!

You might like the Inside Out play set, but I think Star Wars one is more in line with 2.0's sets.

I've REALLY been thinking about jumping in...but my only worry is how shallow the gameplay is. Is this something that'll be as fun on Day 60 as Day 1? Those who have 1.0 and/or 2.0...did you find yourself playing it beyond that initial wow period?

The SW play set is pretty fun and huge

Just started playing last night

Did a little Toy Box and downloaded a few from Disney. Love the Disneyland one

My 6 year old son received Disney Infinity 3.0 (Star Wars version) (we have 2.0 as well) this weekend for his birthday, and then received the "Inside Out" Play Pack. He spent most of the day yesterday playing with my husband! Love the games and the bonding that happens! My husband is a gamer, and it is awesome to see my son follow in his footsteps Disney-style! Highly recommend!

I've always been a pretty big gamer, big titles, big graphics. I've always been into racing games, first person shooters, etc.

At D23 I got the chance to see Infinity in person and I was hooked. So when it came out, I had to pick it up for the xbox one.

Very fun game. My fiance isn't really into games at all but we've actually spent some time together playing the Inside Out playset which is pretty good IMO, very trippy. I think this is a great family buy, something that everyone can play together and enjoy no matter what types of games you like or don't, I think this has a little something for everyone.

Here is an example of why I like it so much. I'm a HUGE Iron Man fan. HUGE Cars fan. What other game can I fly around as Iron Man and build my own version of Radiator Springs, it's awesome. Tiff likes to be Tinkerbell and build treehouses lol!

The graphics on 3.0 are much better than 2.0 and the playsets seem to be much much more developed.

With all the playsets coming out and with the Toy Box mode I think you can definitely get your entertainment value for your money here.

Here is a pic of me playing as Thor on one of my favorite vehicles in the Toy Box mode!
