Disney Gift Card Deals

Can someone help explain what to do when the total Target Gift Card credit > Purchase Price? When that happens for me, the Target.com site reverts back to full price for the Disney gift cards (it takes away my REDcard 5% discount). I can only seem to get it to work if I pay a portion of my balance on the REDcard.

You had me worried, but I just tried it and it didn't do that for me. I bought a $50 Target gift card and was able to use $47.50 of it for a $50 Disney gift card. In all of the eBay madness, I ended up $50 short so I need this anyway. I always have the Target card selected and then do "save and continue" and then click "edit" next to the payment method. Then I enter the gift card and the discount has always stayed. Maybe try a different browser if it's still not working.

You might want to start reading slickdeals and fatwallet for Walmart and Target deals. Fuel perks deals are usually published in your local grocers' fliers.

I went on slickdeals the other day and WOW! it's overwhelming! Is there a particular search or tab that would narrow it down more to things "we" (disers) would be most interested in?

It doesn't do that for me ... I've tried it in 3 different browsers. When I get to the final screen (with my REDcard selected as the payment method) and use the "Pay with Target Gift Card" link in the lower right area, I'm prompted to enter gift card number(s) and when I "Save & Continue" to go back to the final screen again, the 5% discount is removed.

I can get the 5% discount to "stick" if there is even 1¢ left to charge to the REDcard, but if everything is covered by the gift cards, the discount vanishes.

Clearly, I must be missing a step.

I had the same issue. I added s $15 Starbucks card (figured I could use it at Disney as well). It brought my total over my GC amount, but the red card discount brought it back under what I had in the GC.

If you want to buy $300 worth of Disney GC from Target and use the Red Card it will cost $285. When you get the Target GCs from Raise how do y'all finagle this? Do you try to get exactly $285 worth of Target GCs or do you go over a little? What do y'all do with the overage amount?

I try to get as close to $285 as I can. If it goes over, it stays on the Target account for my next purchase, or I apply it to something else I need to get from Target, but not immediately, since it will take about 5-7 days for it to arrive.

Well, I was able to recycle $228 worth of Target gift cards once more through and managed to rebuy $228 for $209 at 8.3% + 1% + discount. I had already bought them the first time for 6% + 1% off. Now, I will run them through for .07% from purchasing site and 5% Target Redcard discount on the Disney GCs. I also have atleast $16.35 left on my Target card. Based on this information, I have saved over $60.55. Woo! Hoo!

Just a reminder about the expiration periods for the gift card reselling sites. I have saved a good deal of money on Target cards which I turnover immediately to Disney gift cards. This inspired me to buy some restaurant cards. Unfortunately, my Brio card was depleted by the original owner but I didn't notice until after the 45 day guarantee period given by cardcash.com. The guarantee period for Raise is 100 days, Giftcard Zen is one year and cardpool guarantees up to 1000 dollars on their cards for 100 days. Live and Learn.

Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but our insurance provider gives rewards if you do certain actives (get a basic checkup, log steps and exercise time in the system for x number of days, etc). We can get a rewards Discover card that you can use at multiple places. CVS and Lowe's are two of them and you can use it to purchase gift cards. I've used multiple time for Disney Gift Cards.

Interesting. Who is your provider?

This is a very good reminder. This happened to me with a Lowe's card from cardcash.com. Thankfully, I only lost $45 but I learned my lesson. I will no longer buy cards if I cannot use them up pretty quickly.

Just got an email that Kroger is doing 4x fuel points today/Sat/Sun!! Looks like there is a downloadable coupon for it. Yay!

Didn't get a reply on one of the DVA threads so thought I'd ask here. I opened my DVA on May 12th, would that be day 1 of account open or would it be one day on May 13th? Is there anywhere on our accounts that say how many days the account has been opened? The reason I ask is because my 60 day mark is in 3 days(9/7) so it's a matter of a day or two in regards to purchasing my tickets and getting the $20 reward.

I've looked over the lists of steps to buy Disney GCs at Target's website, but I still have one more question. I can see getting to a spot where I have several Target GCs left with very small balances. (Due to having "leftovers" on Target GCs that were slightly higher than what I was purchasing in Disney GCs.) Can I use these up in one transaction? Is there a way to enter more than one Target GC number without losing the 5% red card discount?

You can use up to 4 Target GCs in a single purchase. However, you can combine Target GCs on your smartphone by going to the Target mobile website and combining the GCs onto one single GC.

I would call and ask them. They should be able to tell you.

It looks like even if they include 05/12 as day one, your 120 mark is 09/08 which is one day past your 60 day fastpass window starting.

Thank you SO much for this info!

How exactly do you do this. I see were to enter them, but how do you combine them?
THANKS!

Once you add two in there separately, there's a button that says "combine" and you just click that and which one you want to combine.

Just as an FYI, I find that when I add gift cards on my cell phone through target, they do not show up in my saved cards on the target website on my desktop. I have to open my target app and get the gift card number and access number off of it and input it on line. Never had any issues with them combining or not working once I type them in, they just don't show up as saved. I've combined over $100 worth now and haven't had any issues.
