Upgrading hotel to another country's offer - is it possible?

I've just noticed that for the same price we've paid (booked last week) for SL booked via phone at UK prices I could stay in HNY if I'd booked through the Irish site (due to Euro-£ coversion) does anybody know if it's possible to amend to another hotel and another country's offer?

I think you can, depending on who you speak to. You will need to have booked through the official DLP website though.

I went through the UK site last year to book our Paris trip. It saved a nice chunk of cash, but it was a hassle trying to get any information or change anything on the reservation. The service and attitude is nothing like what I have experienced in WDW. We had to add a day onto our reservation and it took 3 days to get the correct day added on and get a confirmation. Then I had gotten another confirmation saying both stays were canceled. If the savings isn't much I would try to stick with something that you're more familiar with. If the savings is significant I would say save the money and deal with the slight aggravation.

Good luck!

Not sure if you can as they are booked under 2 different countries. You could call and ask, failing that could you cancel the SL and rebook under the Irish site?

Thanks for replies, I bit the bullet and phoned, they said I could change to another country's offer but would have to keep the same hotel I can't change the hotel without cancelling the UK booking which would cost £250 so not worth doing. Difference in price is only £150 so sticking with SL.

When are you going? Who knows, you may be lucky and find a better offer comes out for the UK and you may be able to upgrade to the HNY for only a few £. :)

I'm going 16th - 20th December so doubt that a better offer will come out so close to Christmas but I'll see what the next offer after this one finishes is.

I'd try calling again, I know people have successfully changed from SL to HNY ESC using another sites offer in the last few days (booked uk site wanted to book french offer as the esc rooms are on offer there for quite a few dates), I think it depends on the CM you speak to.

Just called the French booking no and they let me swap to French offer HNY 30% off and free kids under12 without losing the deposit on SL so ended up costing only another £20! Plus he's noted we're celebrating a birthday and it's our sixth visit so that we might get some pixie-dust!

great stuff - and for your dates i'd definitely keep an eye out for end of october/beginning of november for a flash sale too, you might be able to upgrade again!
