Official 2015 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread.

I don't see Oofos on the exhibitor list. Do you know who will be selling them? I'm intrigued.
If I recall, the Oofos were being sold by the Fit2Run booth at the expo.

I've had mine for a year and those have been a blessing. If you haven't tried them, you really should. I wear mine all the time aside from recovery.

Bringing in Carry on 2 running shoes (one each for 10k & half) and then I'm wearing a pair of croc beach shoes, which will be for parks too. That's it for shoes. Count us in the jealous and don't leave till Friday morning crowd.

Here's a crazy question... how many pairs of shoes are people bringing for the Dumbo Double Dare? I was going to bring two pairs: one for the 10k and one for the Half. That way if something happens during the 10K (like I fall into the Castle moat), I have a clean, dry pair. But then, my wife asked me if I'm going to bring a 3rd pair just for walking around the parks. I don't know! I didn't think about that!

Just bringing one pair of Brooks to run both events. If there was rain in the forecast I would be tempted to bring another pair.
Bringing a regular pair of hiking shoes for plane ride and touristy things.

Falling in the moat would be really entertaining.....and make a great pic. popcorn::

Fit2Run was selling Oofos at WDW marathon weekend. They also have a coupon in your "goody bag" saving you more $$$ for Disney merch.

So jealous too. I'm not arriving until Friday (late afternoon/early evening depending on traffic). Still have 2.5 days of work. Sadness. I, too, wish they would let us pre-order merch and show us pictures! Hopefully there'll be some stuff left by the time I arrive.

When I did Pixie Dust Challenge last May, I brought 2 pairs of running shoes. Mostly because there was rain in the forecast. So 1 pair should be fine since it's not expected to rain. If you are paranoid or if your main pair is getting worn out, I would bring 2 pairs of running shoes. I also like to have separate shoes for walking since I don't want to add miles to my running shoes when I'm not running. I ended up bringing 4 pairs of shoes in May (2 running, 1 walking, 1 flip flop) but I tend to overpack.

For shoes, I have two pair running (my 5k shoes and my half shoes), and two pairs of Chuck Taylor's for park time.

I'm wearing my Reef sandals right now.

Just read this article on cheating at rD races...posting it here as a reminder to be careful posting pics of your bib on Social Media. Make sure to cover the number!!

Interesting article, and sort of gross. People can be such jerks!

I read that this morning. Crazy, isn't it? I never would have considered using someone else's bib, but I suppose if I were locked out at registration, I might feel differently if offered one by a friend. Finding a bib and then actually using it (instead of turning it in)... that's not good at all.

One more reminder, if you are reading this you are invited to join the grand Tiki Room meet-up where you might easily meet three or even four other participants. Oh, and you can have a Dole Whip and visit the pretty birds while they sing and dance!

Thursday - Sept 3rd - Waiting area for the Enchanted Tiki Room 4:30pm'ish.

I'm easy to find. 6'3" wearing Red RunDisney Mickey shoes, Blue Shirt, White Hat, Cargo Shorts, carrying a Dole Whip.
I really wish I'd booked a thursday flight. I don't get in till Friday so I miss a lot of the fun. Have a great time

I'm getting really anxious about what time to get in line for merch line..I don't want to be there to early to be one of the first 50, but don't want to be there too late to be the 400th...what time do you think the sweet spot is to be in the middle?

Just got back from physio, she has taped me up ready or battle! Calf is whatever better. She has advised me to run in my new Prophecy 's I just picked them up a couple of days ago. No runs in this new model 4's, I alway train in Prophecy but run my races in my Sayonara's. I brought her both shoes she said Prophecy 's and compression sleeves. Well that's what the boss says "I will do as I'm told".
On the brighter note 1 more sleep! Printed our boarding passes! Yippee Look forward to meeting everyone at the Tiki Room.
Carry on my Prophecy 's and my Stick. Checked bag all my clothes. If something happens to it I will just have to buy more clothes there!
Hope the Oofo dealer is there plan to get a new pair.
Safe travel to everyone still in transit or waiting like me!

Do the speaker series fill up & get crowded or is it easy to catch it right before it starts? Didn't bother in January at WDW. Excited to see Sean Astin listed. Thanks!

At last years Half Marathon Expo, at least on Thursday, the series seemed lightly attended and there was no issue in walking up at any point.
