Rainforest Cafe - Breakfast

Hi everyone! My husband and I are looking into breakfast options at Disneyland. We love to have a big breakfast to fill us for the morning before hitting the parks. I was considering Rainforest Cafe, but he's not really feeling it. We have a Rainforest Cafe near-ish to us and we've been for lunch/dinner. I've never been wowed by the food but have always had great service. Thoughts on breakfast at the DTD one? Any pictures?

We are already considering Catal, Storyteller's Cafe, La Brea, and Steakhouse 55 for our other breakfasts.

Thank you!

We have done breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe in DtD twice. My teenage boys loved the large portions, and we all thought the food tasted pretty good. That Rainforest can get pretty crowded for lunch and dinner, but we had no wait either of the times we went for breakfast and we didn't have a reservation. Maybe we were just lucky? We were there during busy seasons (one time was Tuesday of Thanksgiving week) but early in the morning (before 9 AM), and the restaurant wasn't busy at all.

We had brunch at the Jazz Kitchen that was heavenly! We haven't tried Rainforest for breakfast yet.

We went to breakfast there once, not sure why, possibly because the park was opening later that day because it was off season. It was good, maybe a little more than we usually spend for breakfast in the parks and there was no wait.

We have had breakfast at Rainforest Cafe - what I remember most about it is the portions are large enough that two of us can share.

Glad to hear about portion sizes! I usually feel ripped off at some breakfast places. I would consider Ralph Brennan's but we're hoping to do lunch or dinner there on our arrival day so I didn't want to go to the same place twice... but maybe we should? I'll take a peek at the menu! Thanks guys!

It looks like brunch at Ralph Brennan's is only on Sundays according to their site. We're arriving that day but I don't think we'll be there in time since our flight lands around 1:30 in LA. Darn. :/

Um, Steakhouse 55 by far!!! $13 2x4 is my husband's favorite! Great atmosphere and great food...Rainforest Cafe is a chain and really generic food. It's nice to have a fresh made meal. We also love Storyteller Cafe if you like buffet's at GCH then you can use the GCH entrance with your receipt.

Tarangoa Terrace I hear is great for breakfast, and heard Steakhouse55 is also great for food, if thats the most important thing to you. If you're looking for more of a "Disney" atmosphere, I always enjoy Storyteller's Cafe and Minnie's Plaza Inn Breakfast (both character meals).

If you're looking for something quicker, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen Express has some breakfast stuff, and we always have a "Jamba Juice and Wetzel Pretzel" morning every trip.

You could also consider Carnation Cafe in the park, which is where Walt ate everyday for breakfast, I believe.

We have had Rainforest Café a couple of times for breakfast and we were happy with it. It was fun for my daughter to experience it and like the PP mentioned, it is a chain, but we have been to the one in SF and to us, the one in DTD was a much better experience! The food was good, the portions were decent and the service was great!

There's also White Water snacks at GCH which is good food and prices and not much waiting. We loved!! Storytellers and are going back this trip. We do enjoy RFC but have only gone for lunch/dinner so far.

Thank you all! I didn't realize there was a Jamba Juice right there too. :) That'll be fantastic! We have done Minnie's Plaza Inn breakfast the one time we were there before in '08. I'm pretty on the fence about the character meal just because it is only my husband and I. Storyteller's looks like a lot of fun though and I love that we might be able to meet Meeko there! I'd about die, lol.

It sounds like we could benefit from replacing Rainforest Cafe with something else. I'll have to wait and see what park hours end up being, but from the historical information I found we are looking at parks officially being open at 10... I don't want to miss any park time for breakfast in the parks! Do they do early reservations like WDW where you can get in prior to opening?

I've eaten there once for Breakfast and it was decent! The portions are large. I had the tonga toast (thinking it would be the same as WDW's, but it's not), and I enjoyed it. It was nearly empty, maybe 5 families dining at the time. There's a coupon for $5 off 2 breakfast plates, not much but if you don't have any other coupons/offers, it helps:

Thank you so much for posting the link! I went to the site, and printed out coupons for other places too! :D

We had breakfast there once before a 10 am park opening. The food was fine, but I thought pricey for breakfast. I want to say we had an omelet and eggs benedict. Not memorable aside from $50 for 2 adults/ 2 kids. The plants were really dusty, but I imagine they are hard to keep clean! Personally, if I was going to spend money on a big breakfast again I'd look into the options the others have listed and go somewhere more 'disney'. We definitely were full.
