AP HHN Scareactor Dining Experience

This is the first time Universal is doing this. The guy I ordered the tickets from said they are "testing" this out this year. They are pricey at $49 each, but it is an all you can eat buffet, with scareactors, photo ops, and a free digital photo. Going September 25th and I'll let everyone know how it goes. Wish it wasn't only on Fri & Sat. I would've loved to go but Fridays & Saturdays are included in our HHN tickets.. Oh well.

Yeah, I'm going 9/24 so it's not an option.

But if the food is good enough, I may schedule a Friday HHN next year. I take all-you-can-eat buffets as a challenge.

When I booked, they mentioned the buffet included various salads, carving stations (Beef and Pork), Potatoes, other sides, Desserts, non-alcoholic drink, and more.

Oh if Michael Myers was there I`d book just to see him...not a fan of buffets so not bothered about that.......but getting pics with him would make my day!!!!

I'm not a fan of buffets either, and I probably wont eat much, but beign that its the first time and its the 25th anniversary, I want to be a part of it. Whats another $50 towards my vacation is how I se eit.

Yep I think it`ll be worth it too.....not the food but the experience.....

That sounds great! When I booked the guy said I was his first to order it and he couldn't tell me what the buffet consisted of. I will be sure to give a report and take plenty of pictures. Also, he did say that alcoholic drinks would be available to buy.

I asked about alcohol, and the person I spoke with didn't know. My guess is they will probably have some alcohol for sale...but won't know until after the first dinner.

After many character meals with my grand-daughters, my wife and I get one for us. I just hope we get good photo ops. I'd love a picture with Jack, Chance, Freddy, and more. If this is a success, I'm sure we will see more of them next year and maybe more expensive too.

I hope they have employees there to assist with picture taking like the handlers do for characters. Since I travel solo, it's hard to get any pictures of myself without their assistance.

monsters cafe good themeing, but just so yucky as food, swore never again. If they had this offered 'our' nights, would likely brave it lol.

Have they extended the dates that they are offering it? The link in post 1 says its only available September 18-19 and 25-26. If they are offering it on October 14th (our HHN night) then I'm totally in.

Scratch that....I just found another article which also lists Oct. 14 & 21 as dates for the Scareactor dinner.

Ugh, just when I thought our plans were finally final!! I have emailed DH to get his thoughts. After all the Disney character meals he has cheerfully attended for my sake, I am more than happy to take one for the team on this one!
