Air Canada rouge

I want to thank everyone for replying to this thread and offering suggestions.

Plattsburgh/Burlington no longer offer direct flights to Orlando... we are driving down to Albany to fly Southwest direct. Even with adding on gas+hotel it is still much cheaper than flying from Montreal! Plus we get two free bags! :)

I wish that was the case for me. Air Canada still best them before the exchange rate. But going in prepared hopefully it won't bug me as much.

I am 6'2 and a "Big Boy" well i was a bigger boy than i am now when i travelled last october for my honeymoon. i was 6'2 and 350. It certainly was cramped. I am planning to fly back this fall and think that being 100 pounds lighter might help a lot. I happen to have shorter legs, and was ok for legroom, though my knees did almost touch the seat in front of me. I also couldn't use the tray table much, as it wouldn't fold down with my legs in the way. My wife has longer legs and is lighter than i am, she could use the table, but found the leg room to be an issue. It's not the end of the world, but it's certainly not as comfortable as regular Air Canada Economy is. We are hoping to fly someone else this year, maybe with banks of 2 seats instead of 3... but we'll take what we can get. If we have to fly rouge we'll attempt an exit row, but they usually book up months in advance. THeir "business class" upgrades were just the same sort of seats but they didn't sit anyone in the middle of teach bank of 3. might have been slightly more leg room, but considering the price more than doubled from my memory, it's not a very affordable option.

I flew Rouge to Las Vegas from Toronto and back again this past July and will be flying with them again to MCO in October. I'm short so leg room is never an issue for me. The seats aren't super comfortable, but the flight from Toronto to MCO is short so I should be much better off than I was for the flight to Vegas. Make sure to download the Air Canada app before boarding, especially if you have kids - everything is available on the app, movies, music, TV shows. .

Let us know what your experience is when you return from your trip. We are fortunate enough to snag Premium Rouge with Aeroplan points so it should make our trip more comfortable ... hopefully ...

Will do. 7 days to go now. I keep checking to see what seats are available. I am so used to American Airlines that it seems weird going with Air Canada.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. I've flown to Europe and Arizona on Rouge and it was fine. As others have posted, the flight to MCO isn't too long. Enjoy your vacation.

I just checked in with them and took advantage of an early check in and I managed to get the exit row without having to pay. They wanted to seat me in the back.

We are flying with rouge in 2 weeks to Barcelona. I am hoping for the best, at least it is overnight so if we can fall asleep the lack of space ;)
