Official 2015 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread.

I work from home except for Tuesdays when I go into the office for a weekly meeting. I'm here today and find out that everyone in the place is or has recently been sick. What?!?! Where the heck is the Lysol? I'm wiping everything down. I'd better not get sick before (or, worse, during) this weekend because I came into the office. Ugh!

I'm a weak, weak, weak human being.

I blame @SgtTibbs. Changed my flight tomorrow and now I get in a whole six hours earlier.

I've been blamed for worse. Make the most of your time. The first day I did Radiator Springs I had to ride it five times before I finally went to the paint shop.

My plan:
1. ESPN to pick up Get Sports tickets
2. DOLE WHIP
3. Radiator Springs Racers
4. Tower of Terror
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until they kick me out
6. Dole Whip No. 2
7. FIREWORKS
8. Trader Sam's

Also - a HUGE shout-out to Get Sports. I swear, I've called about five or six times to upgrade various portions of our park tickets for our whole group, and they've been the nicest people, they've upgraded things easily and in most cases, I had my updated invoice in my inbox before I even hung up the phone with them.

I want to do all the greats, but the top on my list is Matterhorn. I have visited DL twice in the past and it was down for my entire trip BOTH times! Closely following that is all of Cars Land. They were still building it the last time I was there. So excited!

On a slightly related topic...anyone have any advice on dealing with Piriformis pain during a race? Mine seems to have flared up while I was down with a nasty cold for 3 days last week...seems to happen when I am inactive for a period of time. I am doing yoga daily, hip exercises, and lots of stretching. I am wondering if there is anything I can do after it flares up during a race.

Bag packed! 11 Pounds (4.9kg). Woot!

Now working on loading some movies to my tablet for the flight out. I think I'll go Old School: 101 Dalmatians (of course), Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Hercules...

Good choices.....for a minute there I thought you were bringing "Old School" with Will Ferrell. LOL. Never seen Hercules but heard it was pretty good? Thoughts?

If you're going to be hitting up Trader Sam's *after* the fireworks, we'll probably have to bow out. Can't imagine we'll be staying up very late after a 12 hour flight and dealing with the huge time difference!

Will see you at the DisMeet though :thumbsup2

any of you have experience running in the heat with compression tights? I think compression will help my ITB injury but not sure about the heat.

I did a practice long run wearing long compression shorts (just above knee) and compression socks up in Cairns. I'm guessing it will get warmer towards the end of the half in Anaheim, but I was pretty happy with my leg temperature. I'd say you'd be fine in 3/4 length ones. If you've got some surface area (ie skin) somewhere you can lose heat you should be fine. I probably wouldn't run in full length tights though.

For anyone considering Uber: our trip was a few cents over $20 from SNA to our good neighbor hotel in Anaheim. It wasn't a peak time so regular rates.
