Mikka & Redwitch once again go to WDW and eat everything! Live! With pictures! Yay!

still here, bummed your trip is all but over. Hopefully you are able to do reviews from your upcoming trip (there is an upcoming trip, right, or am I on trip/dining report overload and mixing up folks?)

I really need to get to brunch at RR someday. That hash looks amazing.

Per @jabead in her RR brunch entry from her current dining report (http://disboards.com/threads/you-ju...ee-tavern-lunch.3423639/page-11#post-54258554) the little drinks were samples of a smoothie of some sort.

Also tasty, though she didn't let me drink much of it. :P

I needed the caffeine! All mine! (The alcohol was a bonus.)

I also ordered this as a side- Pork Belly Hash. Did I need it? No, not at all. My meal was big enough.

But was it delicious and lovely (if very very salty)? Oh yes.

No, you didn't need this. And it was very salty - which was why I stuck to my fries.

Should have stayed in and had dessert, I guess.

We could have had bread pudding!!!!

Thanks for continuing to read along with us! Yes, the May trip is over, but there is one special review yet to come. It is out of order, but worth the wait.

And yes, we have a Food and Wine trip scheduled. Just wait for Mikka to tell the tail of our call in day...SMH...in her next food review.

Really sorry to read our Territory Lounge review. I have had drinks there waiting for an ADR at AP but no appetizers. Hoping to stop by on a future trip. Truly love that mushroom soup! Very jealous DS got to have it on our past trip and I didn't!

We're heading back down to Disney September 30th, and will be down there for like, eleven days? We're also doing the dining plan, which is very odd for us, but for the only time in forever it was actually a good deal (I think it can only be if you're staying at a value, as otherwise the room discounts are going to be better). I hope to be doing a full dining review, though I don't think I'm going to even try to do it live- I might get one or two reports it while we're down there, but we're constantly running around (mostly to Epcot) and I doubt I'd have time for longer stuff. Still, almost definitely a review... that hopefully won't be months late!

And yeah, I'm sad about the Territory Lounge, too! We've really enjoyed times there before... usually just waiting before Artist Point, but we've had a 'full' meal there too. I'm not sure what was up this time, but it was disappointing.

So, er, anyway...

I know there are pictures of the little treats we got at Goofy's Candy Company, but I can't find them, and in the end I decided you all have probably seen them, anyway, so I wasn't going to go crazy looking for them.

Mom got a custom dipped rice crispy treat: dipped in dark chocolate, covered in M&M's, then milk chocolate drizzled. She gets that every time. Since they stopped letting you get EVERY TOPPING EVER and pretzel sticks are so expensive, I don't usually go for this (also, I liked getting crushed Reese's cups as I like peanut butter, and that hasn't been an option for years). Mom loves these things: waaayyy back when we first started going to Disney, chocolate dipped rice crispy treats were a dessert option at like, every other counterservice. We used to take home like twenty a trip. I think she misses those days.

I got two treats... and, er, one never got eaten. (It's still in the house, in a sealed bag... maybe it's edible?) That was a 'toffee covered in chocolate with peanuts on top'. Mom thinks it may still be edible, as we put it in a ziplock bag immediately and it's still been in one: I say she has to take the first bite.

Besides the wasted toffee bar (she's probably going to make me eat that tonight, I know it), I also got one of those 'Mickey Macaroons'. You've seen them: they're shaped like Mickey Mouse and adorable. I love macaroons (both the French kind that I'm talking about and those random coconut things us Americans sometimes call macaroons), but this was... wow. It was light purple, and I was told it was 'lemon lavender' flavored. What it tasted like was SWEET. You've seen my reviews: you know I like sweet desserts (and, er, drinks). But this little macaroon thing was almost inedible. I did end up throwing some of it away, actually: all I could really eat of it was one bite at a time. There was no hint of lemon or lavender to me, just generic sugar rottingness. I was disappointed.

Anyway, after the long trip to get back from DTD to All Stars (I don't even want to talk about it; it was ridiculous), we made one last stop before getting on the Magical Depress...

THE POOL BAR THAT HAS SOME VAGUELY SPORTY NAME

Yeah, I'm not looking it up. ;P

I had the the Island Moonshine, which seems like it may have disappeared from the pool bar menu's since then. It was Troy & Sons Platinum Moonshine, Blue Curacao, then coconut (??- it doesn't say coconut juice, just coconut, though all I see is a piece of pineapple), pineapple juice and coconut water. Mother had what we believe to be the Black Cherry Lemonade, which appears to still be around: grey goose cherry noir vodka, odwalla lemonade, lime juice, geradine and sprite. These were decently made, and surprisingly strong for 'pool bar' drinks (although we appeared to be the only customers the bartender had seen in a while, so she may have gave us stronger pours).

Annoying is the fact of life at Value Resorts: all the Moderates and the Deluxes have a real bar/lounge that will take Tables in Wonderland (although it's usually not open in the afternoon, obviously). That's not true at the Values, which means you'll be paying full price... despite having a window in the food court when the food court does get the Tables in Wonderland discount. Nothing can be done about it, but it's still a pain!

And that's it!

Or, at least it would be it.

If you read back, you'll notice I skipped an important meal. Victoria and Alberts' Queen Victoria Room, to be exact. As that place is completely changing in menu and style (finally, I would say) in October, I'm not sure how useful this review will be, but I'll give it all the same. Due to the picture limit in posts, I'm going to have to divide it up some. I'm unsure if I should do it by course, just cut the meal in half, or... hm. I'm just not sure. I'll think about it, and start posting it hopefully this weekend. Thanks for waiting for it!

Though I suppose I can give you a little spoiler...

If you can read my handwriting, you deserve to know the secrets! :P ;)

Here's a hint mystery readers that keep increasing the post count without commenting.... Mikka loves comments and feedback. And we are attending F&W at the beginning of the festival. So, if you, readers, keep her motivated, by commenting, you have a F&W review before your trip! :D

Yup, rates up there with pineapple dole whip float as a must have snack.

The drinks were heavy by Disney standards. And the bartender agreed with us - They should take the TiW.

Good luck with that!

You're the second person I've recently seen say that macaron was sickeningly sweet. So, that's enough to go in the pass column for me.

Bummer, we don't get there til the 21st of October, so no chance of running into you.

Really looking forward to the V&A review, although I have to admit your notes made me think of The Shining, hee hee.

I really loved your reviews, but I am sooooo irritated on your behalf at those waitresses from TL!! I cannot believe such rude service!

DH and I will be at Disney World around the same time as you'll be there (Sept. 23rd to Oct. 3rd) and will be eating at some of the places you reviewed. I was on the fence about getting the arancini from Citricos, but you have convinced me. We are upgrading free dining to the deluxe dining plan, so lots of appetizers to try. I can't wait to visit Trader Sam's, especially after reading about your experience there. I'll be watching for your next dining report! Any ideas where you are eating this next trip?

Your Territory Lounge experience is one that is horrible but one that is fun to recount over the years. Still thinking about the flip flops... :lmao:
Raglan Road has had so many good reviews lately I need to try it next trip!
I enjoyed your review, can't wait for V&A...and I have a 12 year old boy, your handwriting looked great to me! ::yes::

Hah, that made me laugh, too! I used to have neat handwriting, I swear (I also used to write really tiny), but as I got older it started becoming more messy... and it gets especially messy when I'm drinking and trying to scribble down notes so I can try lovely food.

I'm sorry we won't see you, too, though I hope my F&W review will then be of some help!

Yeah, that Territory Lounge experience was crazy. :( As Momof3princes says, though, I suppose it will make a good story... I always like good stories.

Ooo, deluxe dining plan! So many good appetizers; I'm sort of jealous! When mom and I usually go (this trip was a bit odd), we almost always do appetizers, sometimes skipping entrees. Signatures especially often have great appetizers. Hee, we did the deluxe dining plan once during F&W... it got sort of crazy, as we booked too many events, so we ended up having to do signatures (Le Cellier/Brown Derby) for both lunch and dinner at one point. Tons of food, but so fun...

We're doing quite a few food and wine events (five of them, I think? Eeek!) and planning on doing the booths, so we don't have as many restaurants picked out. We have Flying Fish and California Grill for signature needs (okay, we're also doing Hollywood Brown Derby's fantasmic package), the Wave, 50's Prime Time (... there really aren't many places to eat in Hollywood Studios), hopefully La Hacendia San Angel (I'm spelling that one wrong), probably Yak and Yeti As We Always End Up There, I have my fingers crossed multiple directions for Mirimoto Asian (though mom I think wants to try Bongos) and that is all that's planned at the moment. Oh, and we have BoG for lunch and breakfast, though we'll see if that turns out any better. There will probably be a few other stops either in Epcot or downtown, too.

Have a blast at Trader Sam's! That's on our list, too, though mom might forbid the food there again.

Raglan Road is one of my favorites. The curry there is a bit too spicy for me, though I'm bad with spices, but everything else I've loved (and even that, it tasted good, it was just ACK SPICE). The bread and dip at dinner are great, too, even as someone who doesn't like Guiness or grainy bread. And mother could wax on about the bread pudding, if you let her!

As for Victoria and Albert's... Soon(TM)! Well, I hope.

I started the review, then I got distracted doing research about pearls (it'll all make sense, I promise). I think I'll probably do the review one course at a time, but post three or so a day. Does that sound good to everyone? :)

As always, thanks for the comments! <3

I hope you post your reviews before my trip!

As for the handwriting, one word, computers. I hand write stuff so infrequently now that when I do, it's chicken scratch. I think it's because I'm used to typing at a faster speed than I can physically write. And I used to have very good penmanship, for a lefty at least.

I love your review and am excited to hear about your visit to Victoria and Albert. Your writing style is very fun and conversational!

I think Mikka's handwriting is so bad because she always types on the computer. Crazy fast and accurate! But, not so hot on phones smaller keyboards, so she hand writes her notes.

Proud Mama Moment - I love her writing style too! And I can't wait for the V&A review either. (Hint, Hint!)

Loving your reviews!!!

Thanks for reading along and commenting, it keeps her motivated. :-)

I have just read this from the start, love the reviews! Really looking forward to V&A's

Enjoyed your reviews. I'm going to F&W next month so I'll look forward to seeing your reviews for that as well.

Aww, thank you everyone! Although I take forever to respond, it's comments that make me want to keep writing and make me smile. Please keep making them: they're a writers only reward besides self-satisfaction, and self-satisfaction is pretty dull.

(Mom's embarrassing me on the internet again!)

I really wanted to post today- I actually have a full post for our start of V&A ready- but it's, er, lacking pictures! Flickr is down today, and I still can't get the upload a file to work properly. I'll try and post tomorrow. Mom says if I don't finish the V&A review in... /checks her signature... one week and five days (SQUEE!), I can't go to Disney. I doubt she'd go through with that, but I'm not going to tempt it.

We're currently trying to figure out if we can fit in the Cheapest Vacation Possible at Thanksgiving time, as she's devastated about the Ozborne lights (in truth, so am I). We can't afford it, but it's so tempting... just to see them one last time. They're so pretty. And such good memories for us!

I sometimes worry about the way I write... is it too conversational? Do I not sound professional enough? I'm thinking about starting a food blog for my local food adventures (hint: they're pretty boring), so I wonder. I think it's easier to read, but it's not very 'catches the eye'. Something to worry about another day, I suppose!

Again, thank you all so much for the comments. Hopefully, FLICKR will cooperate tomorrow and I'll have at least the first course at V&A up!

I actually booked a "room only" last night. That way I figure we can cancel. We have two day passes we can upgrade, but we'd need to add the hopper option to either a four or five day ticket, depending on flight times. Ticket prices are the reason we usually do AP. Our TiW doesn't expire until 11/30, so we still be able to use it on this fantasy trip. This is probably a pipe dream. But I am heart broken over the lights show ending.
