My wife and I listened to him at WDW a couple years ago. We left convinced we could run a full marathon. (And a year later -- we did!)
 
I have to be on a conference call for work at noon on Thursday. Any recommendations for quiet places where I can skip out of the Expo to take the call?

I'm curious too. I assume the popular sizes sell out fast. I ended up buying the Tink jacket on eBay because I really wanted it and it sold out on Thursday. :( Wish Disney would do something to restrict/limit eBay resllers. For the past few races, Disney has also been selling "I Did It" shirts online after race weekend. The design was different from the shirts they sold at the expo but it still had the course map on the back. Don't know if they plan to do this again for this race. I really hope I can get some merch on Friday.

From what I recall, I've seen a massive line (all the way out the door) to a line that wasn't as long (still contained within the store). I can't remember what time I arrived each time. The other options are to get coffee beforehand or go to another place (if you're not picky about your coffee). The lines aren't usually long for the other places. Just a few people.

I imagine every race is different, but I think men's L & XL were sold out. I REALLY wanted one, so I bought a XXL, which was a mistake because I never wear it. Women's M & L were sold out. Again, this was Friday evening at WDW in January, so I hope Hope HOPE someone at runDisney will learn from past mistakes.

All of the stuff that sells out in 5 minutes could easily be handled through pre-purchases online (like the pins). I can't imagine why they don't do it, because Disney is leaving (lots of) money on the table. There should not be any shortages, because there's more than enough lead time before the races.

I so agree with this. I also wish they would limit number of purchases for people, since non-runners are allowed to buy stuff - that would sort of help prevent those that are going to re-sell things on eBay from scooping up everything...


...I say "sort of" because I know that the eBay "pros" have tricks to get around the purchase limits. :(

Totally agree too. Need more options to preorder items. They are starting to sell more pre-purchased items. For SW 2016 they had a bundle which included a hat, tumbler, and magnet. For Tink 2016 the bundle includes: Wide Head Band, Narrow Sports Band, Magnet and Bag Tag Set. Although you have to pay active fees and you don't know what it looks like.

California Adventure is currently open, Radiator Springs Racers have a posted wait time of 25min with an expected wait time of 34 Min. Current fastpass return time is 4:45pm.

Better hurry!

Something like this wouldn't necessarily have to be part of Active. It could be outside of the registration process, maybe even in the RunDisney section of DisneyStore.com. For certain items, you would have "Pick up at Expo" as a shipping option. Disney Store has sold other items in advance, and it would be just like those. I pre-ordered a couple Main St Electrical Parade shirts about a month before they printed them.
