Dollar car rental at MCO

Nothing but good for me. I signed up for the Dollar Express program so I could skip the counter. This was my first time renting and it was just me and my children, I was afraid of the hard sell at the counter. We went right to the garage and looked on the screen for our name. Next to it it said see attendant so we went to the booth where the employee handed me a packet and said to choose any standard I would like then whispered or choose from the midsize if you don't see anything you like. We were happy with our standard, loaded up, spent a couple of minutes exiting and we were off. The car was great and returning the car was super simple too! It did take them about 3 weeks to actually charge my card which I thought was a little odd but not a big deal, just gave me an extra month to pay it off!

Love just going out to garage and seeing name on the board. Then off we go.

Used them all the time and never had an issue. But as with all car rentals, take the time to walk around the car, photograph or video ANY marks, scratches, etc, and bring them to the attention of an attendant.

Have used them at MCO and PHL and have never had any major issues. Have rented twice from them in December, 2013 and 2014, and have been pleased with the cars I've rented from them. Joining Dollar Express is worth the time. Allows you to bypass the inside counter and go directly to garage to pick up car.

ofI used them for years (and all the others at the airports in both Orlando and Tampa) without any problems Before I moved to central Florida I flew into and out of these airports several times a year. With me, low bid wins my rental car business.

One time with Dollar someone carved a Mickey head on one of the doors on the black Chrysler 300 and never heard a word from dollar.

We are big fans of Alamo, but got a great rate through Dollar for our trip this past May. We were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience....pick up was fast and easy (skipped the counter and went straight to the garage with Dollar Express), we got to pick our own car from what was available on the aisle, and there were no surprises at or after drop off.

If we can be critical at all, it was only to say that their vehicles were a little more worn than our experiences with Alamo's fleet.

We would use them again if their rates were favourable.

I completely agree. I felt the selection was a little lacking compared to Alamo or even Avis, but not enough to deter me from using them again. We still ended up in nice, clean , newer vehicle.
We were unable to use Express and had to use the counter though and I will say the agents did go for the typical upsell spiel. While we stood in line I saw them do it over and over. But.. they were pretty easily shut down if you declined firmly but politely. I don't think the upsell is specific to Dollar. I think any of the rental car counters can be bad for it. It just so happened that Dollar is the only time I've had to use the counter in 10 trips through MCO.
