Minnie's Breakfast in the Park at Plaza Inn was a trip highlight for me 10 years ago. I should also add though it was my first character dining experience, I have since done quite a few at HK Disneyland and Aulani. I know people on here go every trip - please remind me why I should do this. We aren't huge breakfast eaters but I do love me some Mickey waffles  I will have photopass plus so I would get photos included. Do you think its something that really needs to be reserved? I'm traveling with my husband and 2 kids. ( 7 & almost 9)

I have booked in Goofy's Kitchen (dinner) as we are going in a large group, and also BB F! Dinner package.

We did Minnie's breakfast for the first time today. The food is just so-so, especially compared to Goofy's Kitchen. But the characters blow GK out of the water. We had tigger, pooh, eeyore, max, Captain Hook, fairy godmother, chip, dale, rafiki, and Minnie. Far more than what you get at any other character meal, and more diverse. I mean, Max, Goofy's kid? Never thought I'd see him. Gives me hope that I may see Huey, Dewey, and Louie one day.

That would only be if photopass photographers are there at Minnie's. Are there? Even 5ish years ago I don't think there's a photo at Minnie's, and they definitely don't follow the characters around as they go through the restaurant.

Bring your own camera.

I personally won't go back to Minnie's; our one meal there was terrible.

It's hard to say if you don't care for breakfast. I like breakfast, and I like their breakfast selections, made to order omelets, of course, Mickey waffles. Photopass plus photographers will be there and you do get the picture. It doesn't have a character in it, just your party. It does need to be reserved! And it has the most characters by far of any character meal. Far more characters than Goofys Kitchen. And I think the food is just as good for breakfast. We have had great interaction with the characters. I think the first reservation is the best. The characters come by your table more than once if you have the first setting since the restaurant is not full yet. We had great fun with the characters playing with each other. Last time chip kept messing with Hook and locking him outside the door, and kept pretending he was going to let him in, but then kept closing the door on him. It was so much fun! Your kids will love it if they love interacting with the characters. It's a must do for us!!

Minnies is still the only one with random characters, and that is pretty much what it has going for it. I have booked early on our trip as our girls are avid autograph collectors and this may knock a couple out easily. On out visit in 2013 we were able to walk up for a table on a Friday morning, so reservations may not be critical (though I would still reserve to add some structure to your day).

For Photopass, you only get a family shot on the balcony, no characters, but in saying that it resulted in one of the best shots of just our girls for the whole trip.

Also, try not to think about the price to food ratio, it will never work at DL, it is all about the price to experience (and forget about how much you spent to get there). Those memories will last a lifetime, special snapshots in time, I don't think a price can be put on that.

I love going! I like the all you can eat, so I fill up so I'm good for a huge chunk of the day.

They do take your photo and have ever since I've been going to the breakfast (2009). I even go by myself just because the food is decent enough, plus Mickey waffles

We're going and have an 8:40 sitting. Late enough for us to enjoy DCA first, and early enough for us to get good interaction and then make our Welcome to DL tour.

We went a few weeks ago and there is a PP photographer there :)

However in 1 hour we only saw a few characters. We had to ask for more to come and sat and waited for 30 minutes. We still never saw them all and gave up.

We love Minnie's! We always see about 10 characters and have great interaction from all of them! The food is good too. I love getting a made to order omelette and some bacon (I am a low carber)!! My niece loves the Mickey waffles. We are going there in two weeks, but this time it's adults only!!! :)

We ate there for the first time about two weeks ago and were kind of underwhelmed. Unlike Crystal Palace in MK the characters don't have handlers so they are on their own making their way around the restaurant. I don't know if it was timing or what but when we first sat down the characters kept getting mobbed by people who came in from other areas of the restaurant. I think it made some of the characters lose their place and we had to call a couple of the characters over to us after they passed us up after that.

The food was OK but not great, the character interactions were good when you got them but it seemed disorganized. If/when we go back to Disneyland I don't think it is going to be high on our lists for a repeat.

Minnie's has a few things going for it.

1. As mentioned you could see around 10 various characters.

2. It's in Disneyland as is the only character meal that is.

3. It's the cheapest of the breakfast buffets.

The food is fine. It's not a gourmet buffet, but it's better than a typical breakfast buffet. If you can eat your fill you can skip lunch or substitute lunch for a snack. I also recommend you go as early as possible. We've been twice and the earlier sitting was much more relaxed. They allow guests to make reservations during Magic Morning without using your Magic Morning.

We went last Monday and while the food was okaaaaay (mickey waffles were yummy; made to order omlettes were yucky!), you can't beat the amount of characters you see. My kids are autograph collectors and we spent that day just collecting autographs across the park and right at breakfast we knocked out Minnie, Tigger, Pooh, Fairy GodMother, Max, Hook, Rafiki, Chip, Dale and Eeyore. It was expensive for our family of 6, but it was my son's birthday and an experience I'm glad we got to do. We had purchased photopass plus prior to our trip so the picture package they presented to us at breakfast was pretty neat too.

I took my granddaughter Aug. 2014, we had a great time. So many characters, Fairy godmother was superb. They all stopped at our table. We had a photopass plus and got a nice picture on the front porch, which they brought to us in a cute photo standing frame. I thought the breakfast was really pretty good. We enjoyed this experience much more that Goofy's that we went to last December. The Mickey waffles were very good, the fruit was fresh and yummy, good muffins too. We will be going back to this buffet in October.

Will we be able to book this pre-park opening? (like WDW with Crystal Palace/CRT).

Yes, on certain days. I know they're open during MM days, even if you don't have a MM. If MM is at 8:00 they'll likely have reservations available starting at 8:10. They have a separate gate for those going to the breakfast, and they will not subtract your MM from your ticket if you do have one available. We had APs at the time we did this and we had no problem getting in as our name was on the breakfast list. It was a good time to go as the restaurant was not busy, the food was hot, and the characters were not rushed.

We love Minnies. We have done every character meal that the Disney resort has to offer and Minnie's is by FAR our favorite. We have this reserved again for next Wednesday. We are not huge breakfast eaters either, but we do find that the food there is pretty good. The characters have always been plentiful and usually see about 10 characters per meal. They have always given us such comedic interaction. Hopefully this time Dale (Chip & Dale) doesn't blow me more terribly bad breath kisses. I could smell him from across the table. :crazy2: I think that poor chipmunk ate garlic for breakfast. HAHA!
