Disney Gift Card Deals

I am concerned with giftcardmall. I am short $50 from a $5000 order. I can't make heads or tails out of the receipts they sent as there is no mention that I can see of the transaction. On my ebay and paypal many are not updated as shipped and there is no tracking information available. On my husband's we are short $400 out of $5000. Again, it is just a mess, some are verified as being sent with tracking and others aren't from Aug 19. I know I got them, but I am still short $400. The tracking numbers on some can't be found, and then on ebay when I click on I didn't receive my order tracking comes up with incorrect information. I ordered something on the 25th and it says order was created on 24th. Ugh. I sent an email, but I am worried.

I would just contact them if you are concerned. I did $700 from them and all arrived before their date. No issues here.

Just wanted to add that I have a Capital One credit card. So I checked it out and I don't have any rewards features on it but it does have the no foreign transaction fees on it. I did not know that. Thats a nice benefit I did not know that I had! I might just keep an eye on the UK Expedia booking thread now.

Yes, we are just checking the balance to make sure the card is active and showing the correct amount. You got it !

Is there any disadvantage to going ahead and combining the gift cards on the disney gift card website? I was concerned after reading some other posts that mine may not have been activated, so I put them on the gift card website and then combined them.

Also, I just cashed out for a $100 gift card on Target! So excited! That's $200 for the month of August in Disney gift cards! Granted, $50 of that was from Shopkick, so it'll be a long time before I have that built up again. Either way, I'm happy to be making a start towards our next vacation!

I'm thinking of making my first Raise.com purchase for Target GCs. I noticed the percentage off has swung quite a bit just within the day today. What is the best and worst you've seen. I'd hate to buy at 5.6 percent right now and see 6.5 later on.

I saw GCs at 7.2% this morning and I have seen them in double-digits after a gift-giving holiday.

Is there a limit to how many Disney Gift Cards you can use as payment towards your resort, park tickets, dining plan, etc.?

Also, can you use the Disney Gift Cards to purchase MNSSHP Tickets?

If you have several gift cards, you can combine them at disneygiftcard.com. You can have up to 5 cards each with up to $1,000 on it. I just did this for the first time and it works great!

You can actually delete a card once it has gotten to the $1K maximum and continue to combine other cards for as many times as you find it necessary to do. But you can only "manage" a maximum of 5 cards in your account at any given time.

I just did this as well. I bought 12 Disney gift cards to use to renew our family's annual passes, only to find out that there is no way to use a GC to renew APs online. Argh! So...I combined 4 GC's to make one big enough to renew the AP, and did this three different times. I now have 3 "big" GC's on the site, and can use one at a time to renew the AP's via telephone.

Once I'm done renewing, I can combine all of the "leftover" balances from the 3 cards onto just one...and then use the rest in the parks :-)

Is the target GC/Disney GC deal still working? Just checking since I just went on Targets website and saw they now have a GC check box. I'm getting ready for a November trip and wanted to check in. I went back a few pages and it looks as if ya'll are still getting the deal.

If you want to buy $300 worth of Disney GC from Target and use the Red Card it will cost $285. When you get the Target GCs from Raise how do y'all finagle this? Do you try to get exactly $285 worth of Target GCs or do you go over a little? What do y'all do with the overage amount?

That's pretty neat and smart. But I hope I don't need to save up for $5,000.00 for a trip.

Yep. As far as we all know, it's more of a loophole than an advertised deal.

Even if you go over a little with saving at Discount GC vendors for Target GC, you can always use the left over at Target for general goods too.

Maybe not, but you'll probably need to do a couple thousand for your package/room+tickets plus a couple of cards with smaller amounts on them for dining and souvenirs. It just makes it easier to combine cards or check balances if you have a couple of empty slots to enter them into.

And here's another reason to delete those high-value GCs. I also don't want to have to carry a stack of high-value GCs with me into Disney. So my plan for my F&W visit this fall is to add 5 GCs to my account but leave all but one of them at home. When that one card that I brought with me is depleted, I can add value to it by combining the funds from one of the cards in my account onto the physical GC that I have with me in Disney. This way, I don't have to worry about losing or misplacing a pile of GCs. At worst, I may lose one GC with a smaller amount of money on it.

Each Disney Gift Card I purchased is $50 (only have 3 cards at present). I was hoping to purchase $2,900 total in GC's, but if you are only allowed 5 cards in the account, I am confused on how this works. How do I combine the 3 cards I have so far into one single card on the Disneygiftcard.com website?

If you look at your account, one card should already be designated as your "primary card". The remaining cards should have a function listed under them for "transfer balance".
  • When you click on "transfer balance", a new window opens with the new card info on the left and the "primary card" info on the right.
  • You can choose any of your GCs to combine. It doesn't have to be the ones shown. Just click on "choose a card from my cards" to change your selection.
  • The new balance that will be on the card to which the funds will be transferred is displayed on this pop up as well.
  • Click on "transfer balance" and the funds move from the first GC to the second.
  • It will take a few seconds, but the info on your account page will update and you will see that the first GC will be zero'd out and the second GC will now have more money on it.
  • You can then delete the first card, which has no money on it any more.
  • Once a card reaches $1K, you can't transfer any more money to it. So, there's no sense in keeping in the account if you need to add more GCs for combining. Deleting a GC doesn't make it unusable.

To use your 3 cards as an example, enter the Account Number and Security Code for your first card, it appears on your Disney Gift Card account (as your Primary Card); do that again for your second card, and it appears on your account with the option to Transfer Balance. You can now transfer the balance from the second card to the first (primary) card. Once transferred, your second card will have a zero balance and you can delete it. Now you again have 4 slots to enter and manage new cards. Repeat the process from card 2 with card 3, and so on.

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! What a cool little website. I appreciate the detailed instructions :)

Another quick question. Is there a way to add other gift cards into a combined pool like on the disneygiftcard site? I have 4 Visa Gift Cards (not Disney) that I would like to combine if possible to use towards our vacation package payment.

Thanks again.

It was bound to happen, and it did. I had ordered thousands of dollars of Disney GC's from Target, and one of the $100 ones was not activated. It took so many calls to Target to get it fixed, and spoke to so many departments, only certain supervisors are authorized to activate, but first one of them had to call Disney on the west coast to get it put into their system. Fortunately it worked, but I am so glad it was only one so far. I was worried that they would think I was pulling something illegal, and how do you prove that indeed this card wasn't activated and you didn't just steal one from the store? From now on, I carefully open them and keep the invoice with each one. Not sure that would matter, but it really alarmed me.

I just got a package with 3 $50 inactivated Disney GCs, and I have been calling Target custom service but they just told me to call Disney and even said Target never activate gift cards..now it is more than 15mins after I asked for supervisor, feeling frustrated :( should I just let them call Disney?

I would wait until tomorrow morning. The department that actually knows what they are doing aren't there in the evening. You will have better luck if you call tomorrow earlier in the day and get someone in the specialty gift card department on the phone.
