Sorry if this has been answered before but does anyone know if there is a compartment that freezes in the mini fridge?? TIA :flower:

Greetings from CBR! We just checked in yesterday. Just wanted to give a heads up on the bridge situation. It is closed. As is the island. The whole thing is inaccessible. We are in Barbados 13. We requested Martinique but no go. I am happy with Barbados 13 though. About a 4-5 min walk to OPR. Also nicely situated between the bus stop and the pool. I would suggest requesting Barbados 13, 14, 15. It's only an extra 1-2 minutes to OPR than the non preferred buildings in Martinique.

Maybe. Some of the fridges do have a very small section that is considered a freezer and some do not.

We are here at CBR as well. I requested Martinique but was given Barbados 15. We love the location and the resort. Our first time here. I reserved a bounce back for next year today. The
crowds are low so far. We were at HS today and the crowds were moderate but think a lot of locals were there. Hoping for low crowds all week.

Wow, it's great that they are offering bouncebacks! Was that for free dining too?
Also, has it been raining a lot? Weather.com shows scattered thunders for most of my stay Lol.

...so even the island is closed!?

Again thanks, you have been great with all the info but erm what's Folgers? I am a Brit and drink Nescafe is it anything like that? :-)
Yes really enjoyed them and looking forward to more:rainbow:

It's a brand of coffee here in the U.S. My husband loves the stuff.

Edit: I do apologize for my pictures. It's storming at WDW right now and the signal is bad so I'm having trouble editing and uploading!

Hey everyone. At CBR right now and I wanted to share this in case there were anymore concerns about bridge being out.

The shuttles come and go very frequently.

Also, this is the picture to the bridge behind Jamaica. There is a wall and I think walking across it would be impossible. Perhaps the bridge someone is referring to is the "car" bridge that goes over the river as well.

Thanks so much for posting these pictures!

Hi! We have our first stay at CBR starting next weekend. Quick question, which may be silly...do they provide any sand toys at the beaches? I was debating bringing a few from home but my DH thought that was silly. DD (3) has never been to the "real" beach as we have always just done Disney, so I know she'll be excited for some sand play... Thoughts? We have plenty of luggage space as we can each check 2 bags free on SW. Thanks!!

As another poster stated, some of the kids' meals are served in a sand pail. They also sell beach pails, shovels, etc. in the store.

Hopefully someone who is there can report in for sure. But at least one of the pictures posted by MissTinkerBee was taken from the Aruba/Jamaica side of the resort. It is possible that the island is still accessible from the Old Port Royale side.

It looks like it is CLOSED, here's a post from last night ...

Glad to hear those that requested Martinique but were given Barbados like the location. I too requested Martinique for our stay in just under 3 weeks and figured that if I wasn't given that choice I ask for Barbados as that looks pretty centrally located to OPR. Fingers crossed I get one of those two locations on the ground floor. Travelling solo with my DS 13 yrs and DS 7 months and really want to be somewhere close to OPR and a bus stop.

I find it amusing that prior to the bridge closure, very few people wanted Barbados, as it was the furthest from OPR.
I think that it just looks far away on the maps and so people assumed it was. But looking at the info on the sign CBR had posted, if it is only .6 of a mile from Jamaica to OPR, it can't be more than .4 of a mile from the part of Barbados which is closest to Aruba and .3 of a mile from the part of Barbados which is closest to Martinique. Less than half a mile is actually not that far at all.

I always find tweaking our ADRs to be a great time waster. Even if it's just a few minutes difference it gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I'm so glad you said this...I've been trying to find a way to adjust one of my ADRs and can't seem to do it. I can't find any option to "change" the reservation. Only to cancel. I need to move a BOG reservation up by like 15-20 minutes. It's not worth it to cancel and rebook and risk not getting it but it should would help our worries with being pressed for time that day. Can you tell me how you are tweaking yours? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the only way to change a reservation is to find a new time, go to book it, and agree to let the system automatically cancel the old reservation upon successful booking of the new one.

Ah okay, I'll try that. The message I saw said I couldn't book because I already had one booked for almost the same time. I was having some other issues that night with the system "forgetting" my resort reservation and having to refresh constantly so I'll try again. :) Thanks!
