So, in February of this year my two boys and I bought Annual Passes. They were really only intended to be used on that trip but realistically that just wasn't going to happen....
I really wanted to see either the Halloween or Christmas Seasons, and the boys' love of Villains meant that Halloween won. :maleficen

I will also be joined on this trip by two friends from work, who have never been to Disneyland before!
We'll call them F & A because they're not on Disboards (yet!):earboy2:

When:
Friday 30th October - Monday 2nd November

Flying with Aer Lingus from Dublin to CDG, and back with Air France. Thankfully, the flights were quite reasonable.

Where:
Hotel Cheyenne

It's the first time I've stayed at this hotel. I'd rather be a bit closer to the parks but with it being Halloween weekend they're quite expensive. That said, I did get a FANTASTIC deal on the hotel, I got 60% off with my AP! Happy days!

Plans so far:
Halloween Soiree Tickets booked
Ezyshuttle booked for transfers
Autograph books ordered from howddode on Etsy
Annual Photopass bought - got it on the last trip

That's it! Need to organise costumes and decide what restaurants to book. Inventions is a definite, but I all the others are still up in the air!
67 days to go!

Another trip so soon, you must be so excited but no doubt will be super organised as you're just back :rotfl: Your ds' look so cute with Aurora :goodvibes

I've never had two trips so close together before! But two very different trips in a lot of ways. Can't wait!

Will be different Dee but you will have a ball with the boys. Halloween looks so much fun. :thumbsup2

I think we're all going to love Halloween. The boys love dressing up. I need to decide what costumes we'll wear for the soirée. I'm not sure whether to go for
Batman, Robin and Catwoman
Darth Vader, Jedi knight and Princess Leia or
Maleficent and two Knights.

Nearly time to make our ADRs!

I think it will most likely be:
Blue Lagoon
Inventions
Chez Remy
and maybe Auberge de Cendrillion

Then the ones I can't book are
Cafe Fantasia (have to make a pit stop there at some stage!)
and I'd like to try Lucky Nuggett. If it's too busy we'll try Toad Hall or Hakuna Matata or somewhere!
We'll also get meal deals from
EOS to have at the airport when we're going home.

I always feel it's 'real' once the meals are booked :goodvibes

Booked two this morning! Have to phone back to book the rest because booking wasn't open for November yet.
I'm having a bit of dilemma re. Inventions. It is suspected (hoped!) that there will be characters in Halloween costumes on the Saturday (31st) but it's not confirmed. The brunch theme on the Sunday is Halloween, but the Saturday would suit us better. I think I'll have to make two sets of bookings and cancel one closer to the time.

What a shame you couldn't book them all at once. Are you doing Inventions in the evening then, on the Saturday? Just wondering if you've got tickets for the Halloween party and might miss out on some park time if in Inventions?

No, we'll do inventions at lunchtime, fill up as much as possible and then just get counter service in the evening.

ADRs all booked!

Fri 30th: Blue Lagoon 6:45pm
Sat 31st: Inventions OR Bistro Chez Remy 1pm
Evening - Lucky Nuggett or some other CS
Sun 1st: Inventions 1:15pm OR Chez Remy 1pm
Buffalo Bills Wild West Show 6:30pm
Mon 2nd: Auberge de Cendrillion 1pm

I'll cancel one Inventions and one BCR booking closer to the time. I'm hoping for Halloween characters on the Sat but if it looks like they won't be there we'll do the Halloween Brunch on the Saturday instead. I'm not 100% sure about BBWWS, I'll decide on the day. I'd prefer if it was later but 9:30 would prob be too late!

I was planning on booking Walts at 12pm for my two friends on the Monday as they're leaving a few hours earlier than us but it's closed. They'll probably go somewhere in the Village instead.

I didn't realise that Inventions had characters during the day, with exception of Sunday Brunch. Do they do this on weekdays too or just weekends?

We haven't done BBWWS for a few years, would like to go again by DH wasn't keen on the food. He's a real fusspot though....lol..

It wasn't always the case with inventions, but there have been characters there at lunch now for the last year or two.

the 9:30 show of BBWWS is a good bit cheaper if you book it ok ticketmaster. too late for us though, especially when we'll already have one late night with the soirée.

Bought some t-shirts on Redbubble! love that site. The Villains one is for me and the Jack ones are for the boys.

So, today I added on an extra night to our stay! I couldn't get the same AP discount by adding it to my booking, so I had to do a new booking. The CM on the phone was very helpful and has linked the two bookings so I should be able to have the same room for the duration. I have had to forfeit some money I paid for flights, but I got super cheap Ryanair ones inplace of them so it's not too bad. I'm really glad I've done it now as it was going to be a bit of a push to do everything we wanted. Now we should be able to a bit easier. :rainbow:
