Since ABC owns them and Disney does now, wouldn't it be great if they rebooting them?

First I have to ask as to where you heard that ABC bought the rights to them? I mean the Brady Bunch has always been owned by Paramount (CBS), and in fact it was just 2012 that Vince Vaughn supposedly pitched a Brady reboot/spin-off that was originally picked up by CBS but then killed (thankfully) before a pilot could be made (or maybe the pilot was made and it was terrible and mercy killed silently?). The Partridge Family meanwhile has always been owned by Sony. ABC aired the show, but they never owned it...which is why "The New Partridge Family" reality competition and subsequent show were on Sony's VH1 and not any ABC/Disney network back in 2005.

I just find it hard to believe that someone would actually be asking for yet more in all likelihood TERRIBLE remakes instead of at least attempts at more original programming. I mean did you even see "New Partridge Family" reboot? Words fail to describe just how awful that thing was. It's actually impressive that Emma Stone managed to go on and have a career after being a part of something that soul-suckingly terrible. And the less said about the final television attempts to revive the Brady Bunch aka "The Brady's" and "The Brady Bunch in the White House" the better...

Really, I could probably count on my one hand the number of quality TV reboots (including movies) from the last two decades: Hawaii-Five-0 and Battlestar Galactica are probably the only two have met/exceeded the quality of the original. V was okay although the first season was extremely shaky which killed it. If we're being generous could maybe include Beauty and the Beast...although the original series was not what everyone would call a classic and the current one is not exactly beloved by the masses either. The

Girl Meets World is more of a spin-off than a true reboot but we can count it if you'd like. The same goes for Dallas and 90210. I am not counting shows like the Flash, Sherlock, or Doctor Who since these shows are based on major properties and aren't being done in the name of reviving an old series that people have fond memories of. Nor am I counting adaptations of shows from other countries as reboots as the idea behind these again is not based on feeding on viewer nostalgia.

The list of train-wrecks though...off the top of my head Bionic Woman, Knight Rider, Ironside, Kojac, Charlie's Angels, Dragnet, Cupid, Get Smart, The Love Boat, and The Fugitive TV reboots were all unbearably awful and were quickly put out of their misery before they could further desecrate the names/memories of their originals. The Addams Family was meh at best and the Muensters (based on the pilot that aired as a Halloween special) looked like it would have been the same thing not terrible but not great but mostly lacking much of the charm of the original version. Also lacking the charm of the original is the Odd Couple. I dare you to find one person who likes the reboot anywhere near as much as the original. The reboot feels very much just like a generic CBS sitcom (see Two and a Half Men which it is replacing) and the result is that it just barely managed to get that 2nd season renewal.)

That's not even touching the TV series to movie adaptations where the most successful one have not usually been the least bit true to the original series (21 Jump Street, Starsky & Hutch, Dragnet, etc spring to mind here as examples) There have also been A LOT of incredible duds like Dukes of Hazzard, Bewitched, Lost in Space, The Avengers (not Marvel ones), Wild Wild West, the list goes on... Not even going to touch any of the cartoons converted into movies which have had soooo many abysmal offerings created it's not funny.

Nope. Not interested.
I'll keep watching the BB DVDs my DD owns and skip anything Partridge (loved it then, but can't watch it now).
