Wet, Sweat, Fun & Sun But You Have HOW Many Snack Credits Left?

Yes I hear you! My DD has already brought home school pic info..class fundraiser info..it just never ends after all the school supplies! it's only the first week and this is how I feel! I can't imagine your expenses!..all those cuties look happy tho...thats the important thing..loved and happy!:daisy:

It would be nice if the start of school and Christmas were further apart......I don't have time to recoup from September before I have to worry about buying for my 8 kids & 1 daughter-in-law for Christmas (PS: Santa fills stockings for all of them as well as Mike & I) :earseek:

After getting off the Mine Train, we went to Mickey's Philharmagic to escape the heat. We went in the Stand-by line and then was sent down to a separate door for wheelchairs. We were let in & directed to seats in the back row. Michayla won't wear the glasses but still seemed to enjoy the music anyways.

We next went to The Little Mermaid's Under the Sea and again did the Stand-by line, we were directed to a roped off area for wheelchairs. We left Michayla in her chair and man, that was much easier....no transferring her or worrying about putting shoes on her (which she hates). These are from the queing line heading in.

Here are the pictures from on the Under the Sea ride.

We still had some time to kill before our 3rd Fastpass+ selection, so we decided to take a round-trip on the train. We got in line at the Fantasyland Train Station and headed down to the wheelchair waiting area. One of the CM's came over and said, the train was taking about a 15 minute break to allow for the 3pm parade and we might actually need to wait for the next train unless one of the riders in a w/c was getting off. One of them did get off and we were ok with waiting, so we were loaded on (Michayla & I in the w/c area) and the rest in the regular bench seats. We were sitting there with another mom with her daughter (early teens). She was very talkative and so the time passed very quickly. So this may fall under the TMI but on Dec 26, I was moving a chair and pulled it into my toe. I have had a black/purple toenail for almost 8 months. While sitting there, I looked down and the purple toenail is no more!! I had another nail that had grown in underneath and the other one fell off at some point.....weird!!

We finally were on our way for a trip around the Magic Kingdom.

This was just what the doctor ordered.....a chance to sit down, relax and just take in the scenery around the Magic Kingdom. We love trains and have always enjoyed just kicking back and taking a round-trip around Disneyland. Side Note: Disneyland has 4 stops: Main Street, New Orleans Square, Mickey's ToonTown and Tomorrowland.

Nice update. Glad to hear Shyann is feeling a little better and hope that it keeps improving. Boy do I hear you on back to school. We had 2 yearbooks at 70 bucks each to buy plus 2 student body cards and Shelby needed a planner. I bought her the school sweats for pe but decided against the gym clothes. (she can wear just plain black shorts and a plain white T) since she is only taking 1 year of pe and has to take the 2nd year over the summer because of AVID. (long story). But I bought both girls gym clothes at pasteur then had to buy new ones for both last year (katy at BV and Shelby at Carnegie) so this year I was not going to do it. I did get shelby the sweats for winter since she has 0 period and I bought Katy the sweats last year but then we had to pay for Shelby's golf which was 200 bucks and katy's swim which was 225 plus it is 165 a month, then school supplies, pics at 41 each and that was the absolute cheapest they had and then their computer died so shane had to buy them a new one, plus our sewer now today my washing machine died. Guy said 700 or 800 for a new one. ACK!!!! It has literally been like this non-stop. I told the girls do NOT expect much for christmas this year with everything that has gone on not to mention I usually charge xmas and then pay it off with my tax refund but I need EVERY dime of it to buy a car next summer. I have been saving my returns for 3 years and it should finally hopefully be enough esp since my parents old car that I am driving is starting to break. One window doesn't work, the horn quit and it is burning oil (it is 16 years old) I'm not buying a "new" car but still a used one that has low miles etc. But anyway it has just been non-stop so I SO get how you feel. I also have xmas and Katy's birthday is New Year's eve so that is always tough too and this year she is turning 16 so bigger than normal. Plus we have driver's training at 300 bucks!

Anyway loved the update and I am so excited to ride the mine train when we go. Love Philharmagic too and anxious to do all of that again. Too bad about Jasmin but I'm not surprised. I can't even fathom going to live with all new people and then doing all this stuff she has never done. I know kids that are scared that have gone all the time so I think she is pretty brave. Hopefully she will warm up to it more after more trips.

Ahhhh Caseys! I'm a fan. LOVE me some Corn Dog Nuggets! Like little pieces of Heaven in a cup. The best part? You can still be mobile... a bonus when in Commando Mode. Also, I could, when NOT in Commando Mode, sit and watch the Old Timey Piano Guy for-like-ever.

I LOVE the picture of the fam on 7DMT. How adorable!

OH, and yes, it was rude of the guy to hork your table. :( Some people. :sad2:

I'm so glad things are better with Shyann. I hope nobody else comes down with it.
I am right there with Michayla...I don't like wearing shoes either and sometimes having to put them on makes me grumpy too!
I am SO happy to be done with the whole school thing. My "baby" is a freshman in college and has been gone for 3 weeks already. College is expensive but at least I don't get a long list of supplies I have to shop for!

Yeah, with Tony starting high school, we had the $175 sport fee for football, $35 student body card, $52 yearbook + $60 class fees for different classes he has.......they also did pictures the day of registration. I buy the cheapest packet and add an 8x10 to it but still........

You have had a snowball effect at your house with things.....hopefully the snowball will melt and you can get back to some sort of normal!!

Jasmin handled all the stimuli and new things pretty well. She wasn't a fan of the fast ones (or dark). She still talks about the Mine Train and not liking it.

I would have totally picked the corn dog nuggets but I was being really careful to avoid a ton of fried foods and gluten. It would have made for a not good time for me......... I'm a fan of ragtime piano....in fact I saw a video not to long ago from WDW and a guest getting up and playing with the piano player and by the end of it, another guest came up and they had 3 of them playing. AWESOME is all I can say!! The guy sat at the table.....alone the entire time we were eating. He was on his phone, I'm guessing calling his family to join him. A couple people showed up as we were getting ready to go. (that was a good 30+ minutes he held that table and a slew of chairs)......rude!

I'm so glad things are better with Shyann. I hope nobody else comes down with it.

I still think it started with the heat again.....we'll see her doctor in September to talk about temperature regulation in the twins. It seems to be an issue that causes throwing up......Michayla went thru the same thing prior to the trip (just not the blood part).

The school has requested we find a shoe that Michayla can't get off, so we found a high top shoe at the World of Disney store with a Minnie high heel on the side of it. She wore them for about 4 hours one of the mornings and when we took them off, the entire side of her foot was black & blue from her kicking at the shoe and pushing down trying to get it off. :(

You may not get a long shopping list but I bet your "baby" does.....this book & that book, etc. (and those are WAY more expensive then filler paper & erasers.....lol

We got off the train and made our way back into Fantasyland and to the Princess Fairytale Hall for our 3rd Fastpass+ selection. We were going in to see Elsa & Anna. The girls were very excited!! Now this is my honest opinion of our interactions with these sisters: Elsa, cast well as I felt the presence of her was like an Ice Queen. Somewhat standoffish, telling the kids to have their autograph books ready to go before coming up, didn't really interact with the kids....no comment about Addy in an Elsa dress or that Jasmin was Anna. Kinda disappointing. Totally opposite with Anna. Very warm and engaging with the kids. She spent a lot of time with Michayla who was fascinated with her braids. We spent quite a bit of time with her. These are the Photopass pictures from the meet-n-greet.

The last picture is just precious!! Pure joy!! Melts my heart!!

LOL that if funny about the pics. Yea when Lynn was in HS they had the pics during reg as well but the girls school does them the first week but just like you I get an 8x10 every year that I hang on the wall and the absolute cheapest which is usually a few 2x3's and some wallets. Not even a 5x7. Luckily I don't really give them to anyone. I hang up the 8x10 and then I give shane and my mom whatever I have left, put one in my wallet and one in a frame on my desk at work and I usually have 1 or 2 wallets left over. But yeah it is crazy. Shelby in in Drawing and had a lab fee and then we got hit with all these "mandatory" fund raisers. Plus this team Katy joined is super expensive and they make you go to 3 meets minimum and each meet we have to pay for and they are all 3 days and some we have to go out of town. It is just relentless. But yeah it is nuts so I totally feel your pain and of course with all this stuff breaking at the house isn't helping and honestly it is getting ridiculous how much has happened at once. I am just PRAYING that my parents car lasts till next summer when I can finally buy one of my own!!!

Love the pics with Anna and Elsa and that is too bad Elsa was no good. We had some great ones at DL and got pics with both of them at the same time which I think is rare. I agree about the pics with Michayla. They really warmed my heart and made me tear up. That right there has to make everything else worth it!!

We took Michayla over to First Aid so I could feed her (a place to sit & air conditioned) and change her as the rest of the group visited the restroom. We decided to go to Monster's Inc Laugh Floor next. We went in through the standby line and then were told to head to the row all the way to the right, as this was the wheelchair entrance. When the doors were open, we are directed to seats. Once seated, the show starts where the monsters interact with different audience members. Addy was shown on screen and the saying under her said "She has a monster sitting behind her". Funny show for kids & adults.

We next took the kids over to ride the Buzz Lightyear, we did the standby line and again, was sent to a different area to load.

These are the pictures that are taken while we're on the ride.

The weather was looking a little iffy, so we headed to the Carousel of Progress.

That's cool....I was hoping with our group, they'd do a shot with both of them......oh well, the interaction with Anna & Michayla made the rest not matter!!

More of the Carousel of Progress.

We took a ride on the People Mover next. **If you are in a wheelchair, you must be able to transfer & ride a moving sidewalk up to the loading platform & then back down at the end of the ride. Chairs & strollers must be left down below the actual attraction.**

At this point, we used our Re-Entry Pass to try the Winnie the Pooh ride again (hoping to make it all the way through without stopping).

We got through the whole ride this time.....Michayla was a happy camper!!

We still had time before our dinner reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table, so we decided to head in that direction and ride the Carrousel. This time we were seen by the CM and only had to wait for the ride to stop & the people to exit before getting on.

Great posts and pictures!! Love the mine train ones with all of the candid expressions and how cool it takes a video of you too!!

Glad to hear Shy is doing better. Sorry to hear about the Elsa :sad2: Tony's pics with Anna and Elsa crack me up :rotfl2:

Just FYI, spanish moss isn't a parasite. It's an air plant. While it can kill a tree, it's from making the tree more wind resistant in a hurricane, not stealing its nutrients.

The video's are neat, it includes shots of the ride and then put you in 2 different times.

Anthony has noticed the opposite sex.....so he decided he needed to take pictures with the pretty girls.....lol

Thank you for the clarification, our son gave us this information that they received when working there. ??

Loved the update. I think I said this before but we just LOVE the CP and the TTA. Maybe because we don't have them here but esp I think the older I get the more I appreciate them. I just love CP because it makes me so sentimental and we LOVE TTA cuz it is so relaxing and just fun to see everything. I so wish they still had it at DL! Looks like Jasmin likes the carousel!! Glad you were able to get another ride on pooh!

The Carousel of Progress was virtually empty....it was our family and maybe 2 other families.

I like the People Mover as a way to relax and people watch.

Jasmin enjoyed the slow moving rides....it's hard not to like a carrousel!!

It did pause before we had got on and so my fingers were crossed that we would get to ride it & get through it.

We got off the carrousel and you could tell the weather was going to get nasty, so we tried to check in early for our dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table. This is the only restaurant we were told we could not check in before our actual reservation time.

So we headed over to Sir Mickey's (gift shop across from the restaurant) to waste some time. As we were inside, the skies opened up and DUMPED. The gift shop got very crowded as people were running in to escape. I did a little shopping, picking up a few shirts, a baby onesie & some pins.

The rain, rain, rain came down, down, down.........

Have you ever noticed this when inside??

Our reservation time came and so we made the mad dash across in the rain & puddles to squeeze into the area for waiting & checking in. (it was overflowing due to the people ducking out of the rain). I made it to the desk and we were taken right in. When you go inside, you get the opportunity to meet Cinderella.

These were the Photopass pictures of our meeting Cinderella.

After pictures & autographs, you then wait in the area for your family to be called to go upstairs to the restaurant. Mike took these as we waited.

**They do have an elevator for those unable to do the spiral stairs upstairs (and back down after your meal)**
