Toddler Twins take another Trip Aug/Sept '15 PTR: 3 MORE SLEEPS

The Flynn Rider outfit is simply TOO cute. TOO CUTE! If you don't have a loved one to give it to after he outgrows it, and you'd want it to live on, I would totally buy it used from you for our little dude!!!!

Ha ha, that's a good idea actually, i'd love to pass it on when we are done! There is always a little prince out there! Let's exchange addresses when we meet and you may get some pixie dust in the mail...

Ben has not napped in two weeks now, except for a short time in the car if we go somewhere in the afternoon. He seems fine at night, mostly, and has been falling asleep around 8 or 830. So I am not going to press the nap issue at Disney, and hope he conks out sometimes from the excitement, but for the most part his napping days are over.

We are down to one week until leaving! Packing has commenced in full force. I have one last minute project going, too. Sylvie saw a 7 dwarfs cross body bag I made for the park and asked if I would make her a Jack Skellington Backpack. Um, of course! So I cut it out and interfaced it the other night, today I bought a zipper. Tonight I will construct all the straps and hopefully sew it this weekend. I'm sure I will post a picture when I am done.

I have fast passes but we may totally disregard them on mornings when we don't have early breakfast reservations.

If you don't feel like going to the park when you have FPs you can easily change them to later in the day right from the app. I bet the morning of there will still be lots of stuff available except for a few big draws. I think a looser plan is wise with the little ones. I have a pretty packed schedule planned but pretty much everything is negotiable outside of our BBB reservations and a few ADRs I don't want to miss.

The last time we were there, the cabanas were not rented out...

The last time I was there, I think it was 1989--- the summer it opened!

:cool1:THREE MORE SLEEPS:cool1:

I am just so excited!

Poor DH turned his ankle mowing the lawn Sunday so we are hoping that doesn't become an issue--- I bought him a brace. It looks swollen but he isn't complaining. I told him I can't push a stroller and a wheelchair.:crutches:

Final preparations in place:
1) finishing packing! Just need more socks for myself. And maybe a belt. One more load of laundry on Thursday night so all the kid's shorts can go in the suitcase (they don't have a ton because it is hard to find them to fit their skinny tushies).
2) I bought some treats and snacks for the airplane so I have to load up the little one's backpacks with some goodies, then hide them (backpacks, not the kids) in the car so they don't tear through it until we are on the plane!
3) House sitter came over and I gave her a run through, she knows our dog because she works where we board him when we are gone shorter stays. Visit went well and I feel the house and pets are in good hands!

I've been making a "do not forget" list for things that I really can't pack until day of: This includes my kindle, assorted chargers, my chromebook, phone, passports, bathroom items, etc.

Thanks for reading along! Maybe I'll get to post some updates from the road, but I want to try and create my first trip-report when we get home. MAybe it will help ease the Disney withdrawal until I can start planning our next trip!

Sorry to hear about DH. I've been having back issues all summer so am being VERY ginger. I have to mow one more time on Thursday, but hopefully I won't fall off my rider or anything!!

Looks like you are well prepared - I suppose no surprise. Looking forward to meeting you and your family in person!

General worries about Erika. Looks like Monday and Tuesday maybe be pretty rainy. Monday is an Epcot day. No big deal. We have a lot of redundancy scheduled with our other Epcot day. My worry is mostly about Tuesday. We have a water park day scheduled. Obviously not gonna happen if it is miserable outside. We have rented a beachcomber shack. I just called Disney rec to confirm the cancellation policy, and I have right until the night before to cancel if TL is a no-go. She said once we get there, if it is rainy and gross, to talk to someone Before we leave, but refunds day of were really for only when they closed the park. I am wondering what my back up plans for the day should be! We are changing resorts so we could just do some serious lobby vege-ing out, but I have a feeling we will be room-less for much of the day and it may feel odd to have "no where" to go to ourselves. Also, that night is our Pirates and Pals cruise, which I am REALLY looking forward to, and would be very sad if it was cancelled.

So, I am hoping this storm bites the big one or takes an unexpected turn one way or the other! It won't really ruin anything for us, hopefully. If too many things get cancelled I will be talking the hubby into another trip before very long, that's for sure!

Well, if the weather is "iffy" you should cancel your Cabana. If it ends up being a drippy day but not too bad, you could still go to the water park. We went to the water park on a rainy day once, and it was the BEST. There was no-one there. We asked as we left, and they said <1000 people there for the whole day. Line were non-existant, and you could get seats anywhere you want. The Cabana would be virtually worthless in that case anyways.

Alternately, hang at the resort a little while extra. You likely won't be homeless for long. Anyone leaving from the Poly will probably be eager to go, and so I bet your room will be ready early.

I'm mostly worried for our YES programs, especially the one on Tuesday at DAK. Other than that I'm with you, doing future world in Epcot on a rainy day seems a no-brainer on Monday, and then if Tuesday is rainy we are supposed to be at DAK, we'll just go a little later and just check out the shows, save the rides for our 2nd DAK day.

Safe travels and see you soon!

The Cabana would be virtually worthless in that case anyways.

I didnt even think about going but no cabana.. good point. it's a free day anyway so no loss if we only want to spend an hour or two! Plus I still think we may get lucky :)
