Where to Eat?

Hi,

We are visiting for one day only at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. We normally have eaten at the City Walk, but want to try something "not to be missed" in the park this time.

What are your top food items in the park be it snacks or sit down restaurants?

We have tried the butter beer (both frozen and regular) and in all honestly, that's about it other than Bubba Gump's at the City Walk.

Thanks in advance!

Favourite table service in Universal Studios was Finnegan's. Favourite TS in IOA was Confiscos. Margaritaville in CityWalk was really great too.

We loved the desserts (cheesecake & Napoleon bars specifically) at Croissant Moon Bakery in IOA. Yummmmm.

Favourite snacks: the Big Pink Donut and Brain Freezin' D'oh-nut Sundae in Springfield and Butterbeer ice cream in Diagon Alley.

Butterbeer (the non-frozen variety) and Otter's Fizzy Orange Juice were our favourite drinks.

We also had good experiences at the Leaky Cauldron, Three Broomsticks, and Simpson's Fast Food Boulevard (all quick service).

Thanks yes I have been reading through. I see the menus online are a bit limited in nature, so I thought it would be good to get some actual opinions and what are the "not to miss" items. :)

There's a lot of good advice in the thread too if you go past the first page of menus.

I have some things that I like. Harry Potter has some great food items. The Banger sandwich is really good at LC. I also like the Ice Cream from Fortesques. Caramel Blonde is good and they have an apple Crumble that is tasty. I can also recommend the Cauldron cakes at Honeydukes. My sister had a cupcake at Honeydukes that came with mini mint chocolate frogs that was very nice. I haven't tried everything yet.

Also Gilly water with an elixer is good. They have one which is has mint in it. It's pricey but fun to try.
I've heard good things about Finnigans. Also Cowfish is excellent they have a lot of variety of food there. The Bento boxes are nice and you get a lot of food for the money.

Our favorites hands down were Finnegan's (USO) and the Great Feast at the Three Broomsticks (IOA). We were there in July, family of four with two teen boys.

Table service-
Mythos in IOA
Finnegans in US

Counter Service-
Leaky Caldron in US
Thunder Terrace Falls in IOA

Go to Pat O'Briens and get a Hurricane. The jambalaya is really good there too. I also suggest Red Oven Pizza. It is a nice counter service place (you order at the counter, but they bring it to your table). Much better than the pizza in the parks.
