Anyone been (NOT for WOC) and can give me an honest review? I just made a reservation there for upcoming October trip and we wanted to try somewhere new. I was considering this and Carthay Circle. I liked the menu at CC better but not necessarily the prices ;-)

We are dining with our two kids (age 7 and nearly 5 at the time of travel) to give you an idea of group. I've already made ressies at Plaza Inn (love their character breakfast) and House of Blues.

ETA: I've read reviews on Yelp but I was hoping to hear what other Dis'ers thought of this restaurant.

We've eaten there with a big group, adults and kids, and it is fine. Not spectacular and not awful. There is something on the menu for everyone, even with my food allergies. We schedule our reservation for parade time so the kids are able to watch the Pixar Play Parade while we're there. The service can be slow (think "very relaxed pacing" -- if you eat fast, this isn't the best fit), so take that into account with your timing. Other posters have reported bad service, but we haven't experienced that. Like you, we prefer CCR, but not all our friends do, so WCT can be a nice compromise.

PP got it pretty right, not anything just spectacular, but also pretty good. We absolutely love Carthay circle, but you can expect it to be even slower. We've had a couple of really great dishes here and some that were just okay. I believe the Quattro Pomodoro was one that we were very pleasantly surprised by and didn't expect great things from. The fritto mist is also excellent. I'd say you generally can't go wrong with with either of them, and if are more concerned on the price then stick with WCT and indulge a little bit more at WCT vs. worrying about the price the whole time.

We eat at WCT every trip! We all really like it! The shrimp polenta app is tasty and I am a fan of the lasagna. My 16 year old niece loves the shrimp scampi pasta and my cousin always has to have the minestrone soup! It's a pretty place to relax, have a drink and a good meal. If you time it right and ask for a table on the railing you can see the Pixar Parade.

We are doing WTC for the first time. Almost booked CCR, but with young kids, the price and menu of WTC was more appealing.

It's been a while since I've been to WCT and while some of the food was good, some was only okay. We had other issues with that meal, so while there was nothing majorly wrong with WCT, it's not a place we've opted to go back to. I wrote up a review in the Dining Thread, but in a nutshell, the food was a mixed bag (some good, some meh), but some things were over-priced (even for DLR) for what you got, it was cold inside the restaurant (so we'd only go back when the weather was good), and they had issues accommodating a seafood allergy.

Thanks Figment. I follow the dining thread but couldn't find a review of WCT, I will try to look harder!

We've always enjoyed our meals there. If you are there at parade time, it is also a fun place to watch the parade. I like their chicken.

We ate at WCT for the first time this June. It was the WOC package though. But food wise we loved it! It was me, DH, my mom and my 8 and 4 year olds. I had the filet, DH had seafood pasta, mom had Osso Bucco. All were great. Kids had pizza, I didn't try it. They ate it. I'd go again for sure. The wine I had was wonderful too!

Ditto! We like it fine, but it's not spectacular. We've had hit or miss service there. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it's been a bit dicey. We like the food though. Last time we sat inside and I found it loud, crowded and generally blah. We like sitting outside much better. The outside area is a lot bigger than the inside so you have a good chance of being outside.

My fiance and I have eaten there twice, and we liked it. It wasn't amazing, but was still really good. People are nice too. Although when we went last weekend, I walked up and they said they were "fully committed to [their] reservations." I walked away, and was able to get a reservation on my phone. So that was odd, also when we were eating it was fairly empty, so not sure why we were told otherwise. Still, I think it's worth eating there and would eat there again.

We'v eaten there a couple of times and it had good food and service. It's got a classy air to it without being stuffy or too much for kids.
I heartily recommend it!

Echoing everyone else. Good, not great. I did like the outside seating area with small kids. Didn't feel like we were disturbing anyone.

The food was good. If you can, request a table outside. We ended up inside and it was so noisy and echoey. The dish cart had hard rattley wheels and they must have pushed it through a dozen times during our meal!!

ETA: I'm a BC wife, too! We live in central BC about an hour out of Prince George. Have a great trip!

Ate there during the play parade and the boy loved it. Kept him occupied well the wife and I had a drink. Nice patio.

My thoughts on the food echo everyone else: It's okay, But a nice place to escape the warm weather and if your kids aren't too picky just pasta is fine.

1. If you want to watch the Pixar parade - it's a great spot

2. If you want a break in the shade and have some wine - it's a great spot

3. If you want a delicious meal - eat at Carthay
