"private touring service" question

OK no flames if this is bad - I've never heard of this and didn't know if it was 'cheating' the system somehow. We are going to WDW soon and a friend of friend in a business relationship told us they would 'give us' an afternoon of some tour service? They use them all the time when their family goes. Some locals that take you around and somehow can get you more fp or through more rides? How is that possible.

I have everything booked and fp already. Is this legit? i don;t mean to start anything if this is controversial - I couldn't find anything on it.

Disney has tour guides...approx $400 an hour, 6 hr minimum...they get you in every fast pass lane in every park.

I got the impression this was not through Disney though. I did some more online searches and found a few VIP touring companies that are just super experienced and say they can get you through 10-15 rides in 6 hours etc. wait times are about 15 min per ride. I could see how an official Disney guide could get you in fp lines but how does an 'outsider'.

He did say we would have to tip. What kind of tip would you give for this?

I'm supposed to call them today so I'll see what I can find.

There are quite a few of these services. My guess is that they have bunches of magic bands linked to ap that the company has, whala extra fp. Again this is just my guess I have no real info on how these compNies work.

Only 10 attractions in 6 hours? And they charge for that? Wow, I guess we DISers missed our calling. I think most of us could put together a plan that gets you through that many, and for free.

I'm looking at a plan I put together on TP.com for MK (on my birthday--yay!) on a 9 day, and I'm projected to do 10 in about 3 hours and 15 in about 5 1/2. And stopping for lunch during that.

I think I'd want to know a lot more before I'd pay $ for that service.

This is the only way I can think of for a non-Disney company to do this.

So are we to assume that this tour company just keeps the top attractions booked for every day of the year? Because if the OP said those FPs were gone, then they are gone, right?

Yes, probably.

I'm with the Colonel. I can do easily, easily do two attractions in an hour. It doesn't say which ones. Depending on the attractions, it could be 4 an hour. Is there a promise to hit the E ticket rides?

I'm starting a similar service. I guarantee that you will be able to get on 10 attractions* in 5 hours. Anyone interested, please direct message me.

*Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Stitch's Great Escape, Carousel of Progress 3 times each and the Prince Charming Regal Carousel 1 time

I wonder if they use Annual Passes or the regular 14 day tickets. That would only get them the 30 day window. They would have to book a room or five at POP to get the 60 day window. Those rooms would go unused, unless they re-sold them without the 60 day magic band window.

Interesting business.

At the very least, someone with AP's might be able to get their tickets paid for by "renting" them out....

I'm not sure what that means as I never said our fp were gone. I said we already had our 3 FP+ booked meaning through what I did on my own MB and planning - through all the wonderful advice learned on here of course! But yes if they are somehow booking up FP in bulk then yes those would be gone.

:thumbsup2

I have plans I made through TP that gets in just as much as they promise. I think my friend said they were AP holders. I guess this service might be good for a Disney novice as it is very overwhelming but that's not us. With many trips under our belt we feel very comfortable. Although I'm sure I don;t even know half the valuable tips and tricks out there.

I would never pay for a service like this because of all the cheap/free info out there that has helped me plan but I might call them to just to see what it's all about. So if there's any questions you'd like me to ask or think I should ask.

I'm clueless about Universal so that's a tempting option -again this is being given to us. But if I'm expected to tip a big chunk then forget it.
