I apologize if this has been answered before, but does anyone know the best way to ship souvenirs home from your resort? I'm DVC staying at WLV in a few weeks and I'm just curious if its an easy process! Thanks!

Extremely easy although it will take a good 7 days or so for you to receive it. I ordered at the ASM resort gift shop. They had me fill out a shipping slip. I got to keep a receipt and that was it !

I shipped a set of dishes home from the beauty and the Beast shop in new fantasy land.They arrive about 5 days later in perfect condition. When I opened the carton , there was also a bit of Disney magic,,,glitter, confetti, stickers and buttons. It was really a nice surprise.

All i had to do was give the shop my address , and they took care of everything else. of course I had to pay the shipping. It was a great process, and my new dishes arrived safely. Really , was no other way for me to get them back to New York.

Well, unless the shipping is free is there anyway to do it from one of the Deluxe resorts? For example I intend to have all my items sent to my room, and then ideally I could ship everything I bought at the end of the trip back home, instead of piece by peice.

Per the https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/mail-services/ website it sounds like you can ship pre-packaged and labeled from any resort. It also sounds like contemporary or grand floridians business centers can package and ship. I never tried but you can reach them with a phone call to inquire immediately.

We accumulated all our souvenirs in 2012. We buy a lot of things. We took all our receipts and souvenirs to our resort gift shop. They categorized everything. Made sure all its so were purchased at wdw. We got the package about five days after we got home. Everything was packed really well. We stayed at POFQ.

This caused a disaster when I tried to do this at a deluxe (YC). If they have a convention centre, it is packaged and sent at the rate of FedEx or whoever! They wanted to charge me $400 to send international. When I stayed at moderate(POfQ), they packaged it all and sent it at the shipping rates of disney itself $150!!!

So check!!! The other way if you buy a lot is take it all to DTD and they will do it there for you too

When we stayed at the Contemporay about 4 years ago my son wanted the Contemporary play set with the monorail as his big souveneir. We shipped it directly from the gift shop. It took no more than 5 minutes and arrived a few days after we got home in perfect shape. Very easy process

We have shipped directly from the shop as well as shipped a box directly from the POR and both worked wonderfully. The light sabre from the Tatooine Traders arrived about 4 days after we got home and the box shipped the day before we left for home from POR arrived about 6 days after we got home. I had already printed my shipping label for the POR box before I left home for convenience and shipped it FEDEX.

We purchased a bunch of stuff in DTD last year and had it shipped to our home. You fill out a form and they wrapped everything up in front of me and set it aside for shipment. I got a copy of the receipt and I also received a email confirmation and I was able to track my order.

Everything showed up within a week of us returning home.

One tip though...We bought a chalkboard and it came in a box, we never opened the box to make sure it looked good before we purchased it. The CM actually went to the back and got one that was never on the shop floor. When it was delivered our chalkboard had 3 bad dents in it. I don't think it happened in transit as the box it came in looks good and it was well padded. So I recommend if you're buying anything in a box, make sure the product is good before your purchase it.
