Hi
We have decided to use Walker Mobility for an ECV for my husband this trip. They are a little pricey but they claim they have the only water proof ECV's and the only onsite backup scooters on Disney Properties. Has anyone else used them and if you have I would appreciate any and all of your feedback!
Thank you in advance all!

Hi Bonnie,
I've had the pleasure of using Walker several times now and highly recommend them. As for your comment "a little pricey" I have found them to generally have lower rental rates for our trips when compared to other popular companies in the area. You can search all posts where Walker is mentioned by using the search function at the top of the page which may provide helpful information as well. Have a great vacation.

@xbonnie40, I have had good experiences with Walker as well. To be fully honest, I have not had to rent from them for some time now; I now have my own personal ECV that I travel with.

Overall, like @Lindava, in the past I have found their rates to be quite competitive, and their service to be solid.

While Walker is not currently on the "Disney Featured Providers" list, I have no hesitation in recommending them, unlike many of the other companies in Orlando that either rent sub-standard (meaning flimsy, broken, junky scooters) or that do not meet basic expectations for customer service (like picking up/dropping off on time, battery replacement in the parks if required, etc.)

You probably can find rental scooters for substantially cheaper than Walker - just remember that you may get exactly what you pay for! o_O

I've used walker several times and would recommend them to anyone needing a scooter. It is less convenient now, last trip (2013) we had to meet them in the parking lot for pick up and return. It was ideal when the scooter used to be waiting at baggage when we arrived. But they are dependable and that counts. Our first rental (2008) the scooter had an issue. It lacked power, moved slower than a turtle and we part of a group of eight with character breakfast reservations and no time to waste. One phone call and they arranged to drop a replacement off at Grand Floridian so it would be waiting after breakfast. Granted we didn't need the scooter to go to breakfast but I'd imagine you could borrow a wheel chair from the resort in a pinch like that.

Worked great for me. I rented a wc on very short notice and they were great.

We had Walker drop our rental ECV off at the Hyatt Olando Airport. It was waiting for us at
bell service when we got off the airplane. We took it to our room, then in the AM put it on the
bus to the port for our DCL cruise. It fit in the bottem of the bus. We also took it on the DCL
bus back to the resorts. We had no problems. Walker came with a truck and picked it up at
AKL in the AM before we flew home. We had to be there to return the ECV, again no problems.

We are renting a scooter from Walker for a Disney Cruise as well in October, do you have any advice for the cruise? any problems or recommendations getting around the ship? It's our first and really excited.

We rented two scooters for my parents on a cruise we took in January and had a wonderful time. No problems getting around on ship or shore but do make sure to charge the scooters when in your cabin. Walker did a fantastic job delivering the scooters directly to our DCL ship as well. I would recommend taking Bonine for sea sickness if susceptible to motion sickness as it can be quite a ride if storms pop up.
Hope that helps and happy cruising.
Linda
