Are there typically ant discounts offered in January?

We are thinking of a Jan trip and wondering if we should try to rent a villa from David's at SSR or book through Disney and hope for a discount. We have booked through David's before and had a great experience, but I do like having the security of being able to cancel when booking with Disney. Thanks.

When in January? We use to go in mid to late January and there were always great discounts.

In 2013 using out Chase Disney Visa we got the regular dining plan for $100 per person for 6 nights.
