we are staying at MK the day before our cruise leaves so we will have transportation from the airport to MK. We need to find transportation from MK to port canaveral then the day our cruise comes back from their to airport. Travel planner said the DME i think thats $70 a person round trip but wondering if there is anything cheaper? We have already payed alot for the cruise so adding one day to Disney is turning out to be alot more than I thought

How many in your party? Sometimes its cheaper to use a town car service. Sometimes its cheaper to rent a car one way.

Depending on the number of people, renting a car is probably cheapest.

You have three options...

Rental Car (both for the duration of your stay in Florida- paying to park it while you're on your cruise, and two one-way rentals)
Shuttle Service

I suggest pricing out all three options. What are you going to do for car seats in both situations also factors into the equation.

Thats another thing I'm stressing over is car seats. Do we bring them on the flight so we have them for the transportation after but then worrying with them ehile on the ship.

I would post on CruiseCritic.com or the appropriate forum here (either Disney Cruise Line or Royal Caribbean) and see if the ships offer any kind of storage. I liked using the seats on the airplane (assuming they're approved for airplane use) since the kids know they need to sit in them.

If there's no storage options, I'd be tempted to ask the rental car/shuttle company what they charge to provide a car seat. I know many parents are against that because you don't know the status of the car seat, but I could live with it.

I'd reconsider the Disney day trip this time and plan a separate Disney trip. Your kids are 2/4 they have years ahead for a trip. The travel day exhaustion, one day park ticket, transportation to the port..
Used up energy that you will only get a nibble of the Magic that could start vacation stress. That is an expensive one day stress.

As much as I like Disney; focus going on a cruise, getting from the airport to the port and back again it difficult enough. Enjoy your cruise, maybe stay at a cruise hotel a day before or after your cruise to extend the vacation.

We thought about driving and staying at the hotel that lets us stay and park then go to DTD. In my min I know its too much doing a one day but im pushing because I've never been and really want to go! Guess whatever works out we are still going on the cruise!

That's going to cost you a boatload of money to spend one day in WDW. Around $200 for a car service from MK to port then port to MCO. DCL shuttle is about $70 pp, less for a child I believe. A rental car is probably your best bet. I would price out a rental from WDW to port, then parking charges, then return at MCO. Yes, it will cost more to rent that way, but it's so much easier than two one way rentals...unless it's a lot more with the parking.
If you don't go to WDW that first day, you will still need transportation to port from MCO...and unless you are going right to the ship, DCL shuttle isn't going to work. So, you would need a one way car service, or a one way car rental. There are hotels in the port area that will shuttle you to the ships.
