Disneyland App?

Am I just missing it? Is there a real Disneyland App from Disney? Either iOS or Android?

If not, any suggestions for a non-official app?

No official Disney App like they have for WDW. For iphones only there is MouseAddict and for my Android I use MouseWait and Disneyland Wait Times. If they eventually decide to add FP+ and or Magic Bands to the Disneyland Resort they would have to add WiFi thru out the resort , then I`m sure they would have a Disneyland App.

There is the Disneyland Explorer app, but it's huge and takes up more storage when you load up. It's not really a get around the park app. It has photos of the attractions, some games,and various things like a DIY fireworks show. It will load certain things on the fly like Mickey Mouse short films and Mater's Tall Tales shorts. However, mine doesn't seem to have audio any more.

There was the official Disney Parks app, but that was discontinued. It had stuff like estimated wait times and could even give suggestions depending on location.

Wow.... so no WiFi in Disneyland either? :sad2:

There`s free WiFi at the 3 Resort Hotels. You can pick up some from the GCH while inside DCA near Grizzly River but I know of no parkwide free WiFi.

Disneyland used to have an official app, but it has been abandoned and will not run on current generation smartphones, the last one it ran on was the Samsung Galaxy S2

Do you want it for wait times? Disney has something called Ask Otto, a phone number to call for wait times, FP return times, schedules, etc. The number is (714) 520-7090. It's fantastic.

For wait times I use MouseWaits. The people on there are pretty good on keeping up with wait times but on non-busy days sometime it can be unreliable. Make sure to help other and put in times as you see them also. It is a really easy use app. There is also show times, park hours, food, and other stuff in the app. It can run slow while in the park and if you use it a lot it eats some battery because of using location services.

I just checked out Otto.... really cute. We just had a long conversation. He has been added to our contact list!

We like Disneyland wait times. I have had it on my iPhone a couple of years and have always been happy with it. We used it on our trip last week, and it was much more accurate/updated than Mousewait for wait times while you are in the park.

That is correct, no wifi. I save up my monthly data allowance for my Disneyland trips when I go! Though I have found that the app Disneyland Wait Times does not use much.

I found it more accurate too. Seemed like DL wait times had more people reporting times than Mousewait. I used both apps, switching back and forth. I also called Otto frequently - my new bff!

I always say I am going to call Otto, and then I never remember to do it when I am there!

I wish they would turn the info from the Otto line into an app. I wonder why they don't. It would be so much easier to see it all in a list instead of asking a lot of questions on the phone.

It is long over due they come up with something like this. But its a shame they are not linking the discounts and fast passes to the app they way the starbucks app allows customers to pay with their app. Disney has the resources to put together a do it all app

Looking forward to it. Many of the other amusement parks we go to have an app with easy access to a map, show times, etc. I couldn't imagine calling in to check the wait times. I can hardly hear on my iPhone in my house let alone in a busy park with my kids begging to go ride! Hope it works well.
