Need TSMM advice, quick!

We just spent the day at MK today, and my previously ride-averse son was seeking out rides to go on! Granted, they were all fairly tame (no Space Mountain here!), but now I'm worried tomorrow's DHS day may be a let down for him! So my question.....does TSMM spin?? We did Buzz Lightyear today, and DH (who has bad motion sickness issues) did okay on that, as long as we didnt make it spin. I can't spin either or I get sick. Also can't ride facing backwards. I tried watching a video of the ride but couldn't tell how you actually moved. Any help? If it sounds doable (even if DH needs to sit it out), we can use DS's DAS to get a return time for it, since we didn't even attempt to get a FP, having assumed he wouldn't try it. Thanks in advance

it spins some not a lot but it goes around corners kind of fast and pushes you to the side of the ride vehicle I would talk to the CM out side the ride and see what they say

I'd call it more of a "whip" than a spin. You are playing one game while riding past, and then your ride car will suddenly lurch and whip around to a different view. So it's not a constant spin like tea cups, nor is it something you control like Buzz.

I agree, its not so much a spin as it is a fast half turn to face the next screen. And it's over in one or 2 seconds. I bet motion sickness really easily but it wasn't a concern at all on TSM.

Thank you all!! DH said "have fun, I'll pass", but he really only rides ANY of the rides for our sake anyway....he's a Hall of presidents kind of guy haha! But I do think DS and I will get a DAS return time (assuming the line is huge when we arrive, which if likely given the lack of other things to ride there!)

the ride is all ways long for it untell you go right at rope drop and you are in the front

Well, we rode twice.....I see why it's so popular! SO much fun . Today was an EMH day so we arrived before 8 and decided to gmake straight to it, and DS and I rode. Afterwards, I explained it all to DH and told him he needed to try it. So we got a DAS return time and went on it again later, after the Frozen SingAlong (which was also very, very good!, B&B show, and lunch. It's nice to be able to return "any time, after X", since sometimes DS isn't quite "ready" to go back on something, even if it's something he really wants to ride again. Anyway, even DH said it was great, so I'm glad we did it. Now we are relaxing in the room waiting for the storm to pass......we needed a break, anyway

Glad you got to try it and everyone did well.
It's really hard to do video of the turn. It is one quick spin totally around as you are moving.
