I would love to retire and move to the Orlando area but I'm not sure if I would pursue work with Disney or not. I wouldn't want a job that had me out in the elements every day, or on my feet all day especially at that point in my life. Maybe an office job would be okay, though I'd be retired so I'd be looking for something part-time.
I do have a history of making Disney somewhat of a side job. From 1986 until about 2002 or so, I very actively sold Disney collectibles. I started with a small mail-order list that grew into a 40-page catalog. I started selling at various toy and collectible shows from NY to VA. Then along came the internet and my business grew exponentially. Once ebay came to be, it was a game-changer. At my peak, I was running 100 auctions at all times and grossing up to $3,000/month in sales (not all Disney items at that point). So I wasn't working for Disney but I was very much working with Disney. It also made our trips to Disney World at that time partly business-related as I would come home with boxes of stuff to resell. I would even list items on ebay while we were still there. It was a fun time. I miss those days.
