This is killing me. I was really hoping the refurb would've been done by the time I went in the middle of August. They finally took everything down, and I could've lived with the two turrets being behind the tarp, but now they've but this green wall right in front of the castle. :( Wishful thinking, maybe it won't be there when I'm there.

I believe that wall is supposed to be down by the 20th at the latest.

That would suck, considering riding Everest at night is what I'm most looking forward to with AK becoming a nighttime park. Can you really hear screaming from there if there is show music blaring from speakers in the arena?

I think so, we start hearing the screams pretty far away as we approach-certainly since the seating is right below the drop, at least during any quiet times of the show.

But most shows are only 10 to 25 minutes, so might not be that long.

I've heard late August early September most things should be done

There are still plenty of things there. Way more than 1/4. Lol
Enough for what a third of a day?
GMR, ToT, RnRc, Startours, TSMM five rides
Indiana jones, disney junior (only for young kids), muppet vision, LMA(also rumored to close), Beauty and the beast, frozen sing along five shows unless you have young kids then six...

You would think they would open some new stuff before closing more attractions.

Or at least make some announcements about new attractions before all these closures. Then maybe instead of all the negative publicity (this is closing, that is closing) they would get some positive publicity (this is coming, that is coming).

Well hopefully come September we do have some sort of announcement because that would be after D23.

Sadly, FP+ showed us how little there really is to do at HS and Epcot especially. By closing things it gives us less choices with the super lame tiered options, making HS a half day park. For those without a hopper option HS may fall out of the equation until it has been reworked. I have several fall clients that have decided that HS is off the table for their vacation and even shortened their stay by a day or two since they see no need for a visit that park.

True, but I would think they will probably do 2 shows a night most nights like Fantasmic! Especially since this is new and everyone will want to see it. There is usually only a couple of hours of darkness at parks not named Magic Kingdom so it could be hard to ride it if they shut it down for 25 minutes two separate times.
