Help me decide where to stay....

Okay, well good to know about the extra refillable mug station...That might be a game changer! I know it's a trivial thing - but we've all got our quirks :)

Off to check out the slide at CSR....

It is very spread out. The buildings are around a lake. We got lucky and were close to the main building (5 minutes) and from the main pool about (10 minutes) depending on how fast you walk. We were in the Cabanas section. Also, the buses to the parks at Coronado are awesome. Our longest wait for the 11 days we were there was 10 minutes. We took a bus from AoA to MK and we waited 40 minutes for a bus.

with the age of your boysd i would go with AoA you are right they are only that age once, give it a shot if thats where they wanna stay. my aunt and uncle and cousins loved it. only complaint was it was very far to walk so they asked for a preferred room the next time.

I doubt that we would do a suite. The pool with the underwater speakers is one of the things that the boys are super excited about that resort for.

If you aren't going to do a suite then I wouldn't do AoA. The little mermaid rooms are super cute but also super girly. While I loved AoA, I don't think 2 boys would.

I would stay at CSR! The pool I great! The slide is good nd the hot tub is huge. Stay business class and you stay in a reay location, pretty close to everything. No worries about the size of the resort. CSR has good dining and possibly one of the best busing situations that we have dealt with.

CSR is beautiful when lit up at night. There is a fitness center as well as a beauty salon/spa. We love the southwestern theme.

Good luck choosing!

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about CSR... (except from those DISers that are negative about everything and should have stayed home!)

If I wanted to be at a place that wasn't spread out I would stay off site at Red Roof Inn or a Days Inn.

I rather enjoy the spread out moderate places like CBR and POR and will try CSR eventually too!

I showed the kids pictures last night so they could think about it and honestly they were not put off my the mermaid rooms and they are all boy, lol. I didn't really think that they were that girly. We don't spend a super amount of time in our rooms at Disney - if we are at the resort we are at the pool or enjoying the amenities.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions...The boys were torn about it last night so I told them just to think about it and we would decide. There is definitely pros and cons to each.

We stayed at the AoA last year and really enjoyed it. The food court was the best one we have tried. The pool areas are terrific as previously noted. Easy transportation to the parks on the bus. I can definitely recommend it.

I just booked a second flight as I'm debating between which weeks to go this November, and my two resort choices are the same as yours!! CSR will cost is a little more than Cars Suite... Have only done moderates though and worried the beds won't be as comfortable. Last fall we did CBR pirate rooms so they were all double beds but quite comfy (we get 2 rooms b/c there are 6 of us) - wonder how difficult it is to get connecting LM rooms at AoA?
And as for girl rooms or boy rooms - I've got 3 girls one boy and leaning to Cars b/c littlest boy would love it, and the girls wouldn't complain, and youngest also likes little mermaid if I could get connecting rooms!

Does it feel that much more motel like than moderates?
I think like many have said though - DS will be almost 4 and oldest DD almost 12 - won't be much longer that AoA will be of interest to them...
Ugh decisions decisions!!!

With those choices we would lean AoA. We tend to feel that although the moderates are nice, they aren't that much of a step up from the values to justify the price(for us). We tend to lean either Value or Deluxe(obviously more expensive but in our minds a huge step up from both the moderates and values)

Just so you know you can't get connecting rooms with one Cars and one Little Mermaid. Each theme is its own section and all the rooms in that area have the same theme. But the Cars rooms are suites and would hold 6 so you wouldn't need two rooms.
