Hello new friends.

I didn't find a forum already created for our cruise so I figured I'd attempt to create one for us. My name is Jillian and this will be my second cruise. My first one was back in 2014 on the Disney Fantasy. I'm completly new to this but I've learned a lot and will help as much as I can to answer questions. Hopefully some DIS veterans will join in to help were I lack.

Also, Ive been doing research into the fish extenders projects and I'd willing to join in on that if some of you guys are interested in doing so too.

Anyway, I know we have some time to wait but I hope you all are as excited as I am! :]

We have booked our cruise for Alaska on this date as well. This will be our second Disney cruise first time to Alaska.

We are very excited

Will need to look into the fish extenders.

Just booked our May 30th Alaskan! This will be our 2nd DCL cruise and first to Alaska.....we sailed the Dream in December 2014 to Bahamas. Interested in doing a fish extender as we had a blast doing our first on the Dream

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine managing meet and Fish Extender discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is completely up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM (conversation).

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread and just share a pdf document through a private conversation confidentially with just those who want to join in!

Hi, all-

Opinions, please:

Obsessive planner here!

Is it crazy to consider taking the Amtrak Cascades train from Seattle to Vancouver on the day of the cruise? I've read so many different theories posted by others on this, I'm panicking, since I already booked it! It would put us into Pacific Central Station at about 11:40 am, so it seems like there should be enough time to get to the ship, and a lot of people said they didn't have any problems, but others say not to try it since there are sometimes mudslides (YIKES!!!) that close the tracks. Help!

Does anyone have any experience with this? Or any thoughts?

You might be better off asking this on the full cruise forum. Not sure how many on this sailing group have done the Alaskan before, so may not be much experience on this topic when limited to this one little group.
