Hi All, what is your must gave items for taking an 8 month old baby to WDW.

We have been just as adults plenty but in January are taking our 8 month old twin boys and I'm trying to plan now so we don't forget anything!

TIA

Puffs! They were a great distraction when we brought our daughter on her first trip at 7 months.

Some other items that were helpful:
Baby food pouches (as opposed to jars/containers)
Disposable changing pad covers
Disposable bibs
Sunscreen stick
Pacifier wipes
Packs of Clorox wipes
Packs of Wet Ones / hand wipes
Extra ziploc bags
Extra swaddle blankets (cover the stroller, lay out on the grass/ground, etc.)
Stroller hooks

We took our son around that age and had a great time!

Misscmac has a great list, and I strongly second the food pouches, clorox wipes, hand wipes and extra ziplock bags.

In addition to all the diaper bag staples, we also took extra outfits and a sun hat and used a backpack instead of the regular diaper bag (much easier). I also divided things into separate ziplock bags, such as 2 bags each with a few teethers and links. That way they were easy to get to, and if one got dropped or thrown, the dirty one would go back into the bag and the clean one would come out. Saved time stopping to clean things.

Also a little cooler, ice packs and bottles if you are using formula (and if you are nursing, it's very easy to do there as well. The Baby Centers are great, but there are also a lot of longer darker rides and shows, like the Carousel of Progress, that are comfortable and discreet.).

And don't forget a camera!

I took my son to Disneyland at 11 months. Our essentials were:

- diapers
- wipes
- stroller
- swim diapers (for hotel pool)
- sippy cups
- sponge and soap to wash sippy cups
- cheerios for snack
- powdered formula in tubes (so no refrigeration needed)
- sticky placemats for restaurant tables - we used neat solutions brand - a great alternative to risking broken restaurant glassware
- at least 1 change of clothing in the diaper bag
- baby sunscreen
- diaper rash cream
- baby Tylenol just in case (recently read a Facebook post from a friend whose son unexpectedly started teething on their vacation and kept the entire hotel up with his crying, so this is definitely recommended)

Other than the cheerios and formula, we didn't bring any special food. DS was perfectly happy sharing our meals or sometimes getting his own kids meal. Every kid is different, but not packing special food was definitely easier for us and so I would recommend it.

We took our (then) 3 month old in April.

We made sure to have:

-diapers
-wipes
-double the clothes you think you need
-nursing cover (I was still breastfeeding)
-swim diapers
-stroller (love our City Mini)
-carrier (love our Ergo)
-breast pump/supplies
-sunscreen
-baby Tylenol
-grocery bags for used diaper disposal
-bathing suits
-good hats to protect from the sun
-stroller rain cover (though we never had to use it)
-swaddle blankets
-pacifiers

We took ODD to WDW at 11m and she was on DCL at 9m. The one thing that I could not live without on those trips was my Ergo carrier. It is perfect for waiting on lines and for the most part she just stayed in it on the rides also.

I was BF and there is a whole thread an BF in Disney that is very helpful. Even gives you specific places/rides that are best for nursing.

The PP reminded me... We have an Ergo too, but I specifically bought a front facing carrier for Disney. It wasn't as comfortable and supportive as my Ergo, but it was fantastic for rides. We kept DS in the stroller in between but used the front-facing carrier in lines and on rides. We didn't have to worry about passing him on and off rides, and he was able to comfortably be attached sitting on my lap and able to see everything without being able to squirm away.

from what has been said in another thread, make sure you have shoes for the boys if you want them to be down crawling other than in your room and can also be true for sitting in high chairs.

You've been given great advice here. I took my twins when they were 10 months old, in some ways it was the best trip ever. If you are formula feeding, spend the money and buy the premade formula bottles. All you need are nipples and rings, then you toss the bottle when you are done. I could never afford to use these on a daily basis, but for travel they were a lifesaver.
