Any dining tips from parents on best places for vegetarian and vegan kids? My DS is 4 and doesn't really like pizza or mac n cheese...which are pretty much the "veggie" option on every kids menu. I am trying to make myself a list of the places that offer anything else for kids. Like the mexican options in both parks where he could get a bean and cheese burrito.

My daughter will be 15 months and she doesn't really eat dairy at all (it tends to bother her stomach and we are very slowly introducing it to her diet). I feel like I can't really find much that she would be able to eat, things that I see for the adults aren't really things I can share with her. We aren't really planning many sit-down restaurants this trip so it's not like I can ask counter service to make something for the kids. We have 5 days to figure out though and I am afraid we'll be eating at Rancho Del Zocalo for every lunch and dinner...it's good, but not that good!

If you don't mind buying your 4-year old meals from the adult menus, your options will open up a lot more. Hungry Bear has a fried green tomato sandwich and a veggie burger. Tomorrowland Terrace has a veggie burger and a vegetable and cheese sandwich. Red Rocket's Pizza Port has meatless pasta dishes. If he's not a big eater, perhaps plan on sharing a meal with him and get yourself an extra side order (salad, breadsticks, etc.) so you don't end up hungry. For the 15-month old, you might be better off bringing food that she can eat and give her a few things off your plates. My kids aren't vegetarian, but they are picky so I have experience with creative ordering!

My DD is 4 and Pescatarian and we've never had an issue in DL. Try asking for a grilled cheese sandwich at Jolly Holiday or cheese quesadilla at Zocalo. Pizza Port will do all kinds of pastas without the meat. There are always french fries too and everyplace that has a cheeseburger will do a "grilled cheese" on a bun. Her favorite treat is to share a corn dog with my husband and she just eats the outer crust and he eats the hot dog :)
Adventureland has veggie skewers.

At DCA we feed her at Paradise Pier and do beans and rice and salsa at the Mexican restaurant and the Asian place has some rice or noodle and veggie bowl that we ask for with no meat.

We bring a lot of snacks in ourselves but always buy yogurt in the park to supplement proteins.

We do a lot of sit-down not CS so I would ask when you go to counters if they have options that aren't on the menu, I've found they have items you don't see on the menu.

I wanted to try and avoid ordering off the adult menu for him since you never know when he might eat a lot or only take one bite, and the adult meals are so expensive...and you can't pack it p and save it for the next day like when we eat out at home. I guess I'll have to try and share with him and try to bring in as much as we reasonably can. Last tip DD wasn't born yet and DS was little and shared with me, it is getting so much harder now! Does anyone know if maybe they can swap out a veggie burger on the kid's burgers at the counter service places?

I shared this in another similar thread :) Lots of options available, but unfortunately many are adult-sized portions.

Personally if I were you, I'd bring food in and share with your older child. If he doesn't want to eat much of it he can just have the brought-in food. If he eats a lot, you can supplement your portion of the meal with a brought-in snack. There are microwaves in the baby rooms if you wanted to bring something in that would need to be heated.

I love that link, I saw you share it in another thread and I read the whole thing :) Yeah, I guess I have to come up with ideas of things I can make to bring in, but I am blanking on food to make in the hotel room and carry around all day, breakfast is easy, and maybe lunch...but dinner, yikes. I am working on a list of all vegetarian/vegan options in the parks, I'll share it when I am done so maybe it can help some other parents.
