I decided to treat myself to a fun trip at the end of September to kick of Food & Wine Fest (and maybe MNSSHP if it has started) and I am thinking about attempting the "Drinking Around the World Challenge". Has anyone ever done it, have suggestions or might want to join in? ;)

I'll be there October 12-20. Go to Poland and drink the slavatka or something close to that spelling. It's like liquid apple pie

Last week of Sept for us....beginning of the fun! Don't know that we can drink around the world, but we sure manage to try!

Hmm, this is making me think there oughta be an eastern Mass./RI GLBTQ Disney meetup or club.

I have never been to HHN at Universal but REALLY want to go. How is it?
We went in the 90s, and it was awful. Packed to the gills, largely with teenagers, an unfortunately high percentage of whom were doing their best to give teenagers everywhere a bad rap. A walk that would take five or ten minutes during the day, even in busy season, could take more like twenty or thirty minutes due to the crowds. Piercing screams that could do more ear damage than a night in a disco. Staff in cheesy costumes doing their best to get those screams out of the teen girls; I guess they realized that a couple of middle aged guys weren't going to jump out of their shoes (though they don't know DH as well as I do).

Maybe it would have been better if we had gone earlier in the season, with less crowds. Or if our expectations hadn't been so high, or if we actually thought that the idea of a guy with a cardboard hatchet popping out at you from around a corner was fun. But for us, it had nothing to recommend it, and was a sore waste of both time and money.

On the other hand, MNSSHP is getting more and more interesting from what I've read.

Will be visiting from the UK around the same time, Sep 27 - Oct 18. Initially planned to visit with family but due to one thing or another its now just me and the other half.
