We love the Brown Derby, never have had a chance to see Fantasmic. Wondering about doing the Fantasmic! Dining Package with BD as our restaurant. I have no clue how it works, help please? #1 - I can use my Deluxe Dining to cover it right, just takes 2 credits? Then next question...do you eat in the restaurant or while viewing the show? We love the atmosphere of BD and are bringing guests and would love for them to enjoy that as well. Any info appreciated!

We had the Fantasmic Dining Package at the Brown Derby last year. You can use your Dining Plan. While you are at dinner or lunch they will give you your tickets for the Fantasmic show. There is a reserved seating area for people who have the dining package. When you arrive at the Fantasmic show the cast members will show you where the seating area is.

Go online to Disney dining reservations or call. Choose fantasmic dinner package not the brown derby (that's for non fantasmic ressies). When you get into fantasmic packages choose brown derby, a date, and time. The latest is still two and a half hours until the show. Order and eat normally and they give you a pass to get into the show.

we love the BD as well and had the dinner there on 2 points. The reserved seating at Fantasmic is really in an awful location. there were a lot of seats left in the middle part (not reserved seating) We switched from the reserved seating on the right to the middle and had a much better view. Did not enjoy Fantasmic, though, and won't do it again. Prefer Epcot's fireworks over that show. Personal preference, I guess ;)

It must have been a while since you did the F!DP . The reserved dining section has been in the center section for a couple of years now.

The dining package seating is stellar, the best seats in the amphitheater.

The only heads up I would give is that we were not allowed to choose our desserts with the FDP in November 2014. HBD has gone to a sampler tastings of desserts and, under normal circumstances you can choose 3 from among 6 or so, but ours were pre-assigned, the server called it "chef's choice". But we were able to pick any appetizer and any entree on the regular menu.

Was the grapefruit cake part if the sampler? We're a party if 5 so I'm guessing there will be 5 mini desserts?

If not I'll just order the GF Cake OOP. I. love that cake!

The grapefruit cake was one of them! Every person gets three of their own mini desserts.
