I also checked Rose and Crown for each night 13-17th for the late time and again only up to about 4 for the 6:45 show. I don't get it. Are they holding back or are that many gone in 4 hrs?

Did you book it online? I have been trying all day for Garden Grill CP on 12/29 with no luck!
Yes, online, but must have lucked into a glitch b/c I keep checking (was hoping to get 2 nights) and it has only popped up with a time on one other occasion (I was checking the night I got again to make sure I wasn't crazy!). Both times I saw were on the 2nd. Maybe they're working to get it up and running and I just caught them on a down moment?

P.S. My twins have just discovered The Incredibles and are obsessed with it. They would LOVE your costumes. I might have to talk DH into that for this year :)
Thank you so much!!! :)

What night are you doing CP? We will be there for NPH as well, might see you there!

12/1. If all goes as planned, we will also attend the DVC Merry Mixer - our first time attending that event, as well :)

If you are not using the dining plan, do they charge your credit card for the full amount when you make the reservation or only if you don't show? Also, upon arrival can you use a different form of payment than the credit card that you reserved the reservation with? TIA

It is not prepay, just requires a CC guarantee. You can pay however you want when you're there, the card on file is just used for no shows.

Any suggestions as to which show would be better 6:15 or 8:15 on christmas day? I have reservations for San Miguel and my sister got reservtions for chef Le france. Thank you

Better how? They are the same show so it's really whichever time you would personally prefer. I would assume both "sell out" since it's packed on Christmas.

It's darker at 8:15 PM so I think the candles look prettier as they march in. But it's the same show.

Remember, all the IPO staff for the nine different club levels logged in early to book for all their guests. Also the TAs were on right at 6:00 AM too. If you see something now I would grab it. Then keep checking back for other openings.

Have any of you been before when Whoopi Goldberg was the narrator? She's scheduled for the night I have a reservation. I've only been once and it was when Neil Patrick Harris was doing it, and he did such a wonderful job. Curious to hear what anyone thought of Whoopi. Not the biggest fan of her, but don't dislike her either. Thoughts??

For those of you confused as to why you are being given a particular showtime, it is all based on what time you are dining:

  • Dining reservations for the 5:00pm show must be between 1:45 - 2:45pm.
  • Dining reservations for the 6:45pm show must be between 3:30 and 4:30pm.
  • Dining reservations for the 8:15pm show must be between 5:00 and 6:00pm.

That should be true but for a lot of us, it isn't working out that way when we book online. I have a 12:05 lunch at Biergarten and my reservation shows the 8:15 CP Showtime.

It looks like the park closes at 10:30 while I am there. Wouldn't this make illuminations at 10:30?

.
I have a 3:50 coral reef on 12/24 and it has me at the 8:15 show, so you may want to try to book the 3:30 to see if you can get the later show. I don't see anything offered after 4pm, so maybe that's why it's a late show???

On my my disney experience app does it show that you have the cp package or just the ADR for the dining? Mine only shows the dining, but I have the email conformation showing the cp package, the time and that it uses 2 credits, etc.

So I watch this thread got no emails until 8:11 this morning, skipping 2-4 pages of post that were made. I checked email saw nothing, so I didn't think anything was going on lol. Kind of annoying, cause I watch the thread to get the emails.

MDE app only shows me having a regular reservation as well but it indicates that it is a CP package on the MDE website.

I never received an email re posts to this thread either. I have it set up to email me immediately. Not sure what's up with that.

That's odd. Clearly Disney must not have gotten the kinks out before opening it up for booking. Well, at least we know that these are definite bookings rather than having to worry about the bookings being made during the "glitch" in the system.
