FP+ went really well when I waited up to make them about 10 days ago. I had availability for all of my days, with many open time slots available. I hope you have an easy time making your FP+ because it was fun for me when I didn't run into any stressors :-)
 
I have to make sure I get my sister's login as she is the holder of the reservation and tickets. On my side I can only see her and my ticket and not my BIL's ticket. He doesn't have an MDE account.
I think I have almost everything nailed down, just have to show it to my sister and get her input.
Woo! 7 days until FP+
 
We have 11 days till we can makes FP. I'm not too worried about it really. The only thing it reminds me is that the trip is just right around the corner.
 
I stayed up last night and made all of our FP's for all 11 days. Had no issues getting what and when we wanted it. We were not trying for A&E though. Today I have been changing about all of them. I am sure I am not done messing with them.
 
YAY FASTPASSES! FASTPASSES YAY!

Got everything I wanted, at roughly most of the times I wanted. I'm having to do some finagling with the Touring Plans calculator, but that's a minor consideration. The husband agreed to finally try Everest and Splash Mountain! He is watching videos for BTMRR! It's a Festivus miracle!
 
We are planning to attend NOJ but haven't bought tickets yet. I've seen little (positive) info / reviews of the event. Has anyone been? I'm wondering if we should skip the tix and just go to the pool... I'm not much on unmanageable crowds or throngs of badly behaved / unchaperoned teens / young adults. I know the kids from our youth group are good kids but I'm reading quite a bit of negativity on the few reviews I have found...
 
Also - if we check in on 9/10 do I need to stay up Thursday night for FPP or Fri? I'm terrible with counting this down & my calculator app & the calculator online seem to be off from each other by one day... EEK!!!!

We have never gone to NOJ, but have been in the MK on the day of. All I can say is that after about 4, the crowds definitely showed up and the behavior of that crowd did not reflect what I would have expected from folks attending NOJ. In my opinion, go to the pool or another park.
 
Sept. 11th is DH's birthday and our last full day in the park. He wants to spend it at MK but we are planning on leaving around 5pm to go to DTD.

Do you think the crowds will be okay for the most part earlier in the day?
 
61 more days to go. Tomorrow I can do FP+. I've never done FP+ before. I guess I really need to plan more where we're going to be even though I like to just end up where the wind takes us.
 
74 for us!!! Just me and my hubby. So excited. Staying at our fav place POP. Doing Key to the Kingdom Tour and Halloween Party.
 
What is everyone's thoughts on how the late labor day will affect the early September crowds? I've heard the park crowds begin to die down significantly during the last week of August into September, so what can I expect for crowds during 8/28 - 9/5?

The last 2 times we went to WDW we went on Easter week and Mid-August. Both times were super busy (6-10 park levels).

How necessary are FP+ during the first 2 weeks of September? My goal would be to hit the parks at RD and stay until 1 or 2. Then head back to the hotel to relax a bit then on to another park in the evening.

There is one night where MK is open until 2am, so we will head back there EMH since we have TL the next day which = late start!

I'm curious as well, I worry that the crowds will be increased due to the holiday weekend.
 
Based on Touring Plans, it looks like Labor Day Weekend (specifically Sunday) will be busier but still not as bad as crowds you'd see in the summer.
