Beetlejuice Rumor

i've heard that the show won't be playing much longer? Any truth to this? It's one of our favorites! Perhaps making room for a new attraction?

I used to like the beetlejuice show. It was lively, cute costumes, lots of humor. But they changed that show in the last couple of years. I didn't know any of the songs (But I am old). It was so frikkin loud, my adult son had his hands over his ears. The CM saw it and brought him over a set of ear plugs. Must be a requested item. So I will not return to that show.

Just a rumor, but there was talk of Beetlejuice along with Disaster closing for Fast and Furious attraction. Given the lackluster reaction of the Fast and Furious addition to the tour in Hollywood, that plan may need some rework before getting added happening. With the Disaster overflow queue area being used for a HHN house again this year, I don't expect Beetlejuice to close before November at the earliest.

I hope not.It is one of our favorites.I preferred it before they changed it in the past few years, but my DD still loves it and I like going to see it

Not as good as it used to be but I love the Beetlejuice show!

Also Beetlejuice > Fast and Furious.

Over the years, Beetlejuice has gone through 4 different variations in Orlando. I've seen the most recent 2 live but through the power of Youtube we can relive all of them.

Version 4.0 (2014 - Present)
Version 3.0 (2006 - 2014)
Version 2.0 (2002 - 2006)
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Version 1.0 (1992 - 2002)

Yey YouTube! Still not quite the same as being there though :guilty:

the show last fall was different from the prior year.
added more people to the group which really improved the show in my opinion.

thought it was pretty good last fall.
better singers all around with the newer show.

it is one of those shows that a person either loves it or hates it.

i'll be hitting it again this year
i always find it good to be able to sit down and rest the feet during a long day of walking in the parks.

The rumour is of a Fast and Furious ride (not the same as Hollywood which is only a part on the tram tour) will be replacing Disaster and open in 2017. Disaster and Beetlejuice are supposed to close end of September from what I am hearing.

I'm so glad we did Disaster one last time when we were just there in June. My son absolultely loves that show/ride, he has since he was 5 yrs old and didn't even understand the humour. And during our June trip we got my mom in there to be the Granny that gets zapped with lightning so I guess it was a fitting farewell for us! Not sure how I feel about Fast n the Furious but I'm sure even if you're not a fan of the franchise, whatever they build will be great. We are rarely disappointed there!!

I agree........not a fan of Fast and Furious, but I'm sure it'll be so well done it'll still be worth seeing.

Won't miss Disaster, but Beetlejuice was always fun.

Thanks! I will have to let my nephew know. He and his family didn't get to see it last month. He was hoping to see it when we all go back next June!

I have mixed emotions about Disaster closing. If you factor in Catastrophe Canon/Back lot Tour closing at DHS and Twister also closing at USF, that nearly the end of the classic "making of" or "Behind the Magic" attractions in Florida. That being said, Disaster has had it's technical problems over the past few years and I've heard it has become a bit of a maintenance nightmare. I always enjoyed the ride part of the attraction although the walk through portion was a bit long.

Oh no, I really like Disaster, I really don't want them to close this one  Christopher Walken! I love the humor. Hopefully it will remain open until September so I can ride it one last time if the rumors are to be believed.

BeetleJuice was awful when we went to see it, not a singer in key to be found!

Also reading that Twister will go for a Jimmy Fallon inspired almost Soarin' attraction

and

Kidzone might eventually be closed to become Nintendo

I used to LOVE Beetlejuice. It was my favourite thing to do since I started going to Universal when I was a kid. Went this past September and just couldn't believe what they had done to it. Just AWFUL! So if it does go I will not be disappointed!

I was always a bit 50/50 about Disaster but on the last trip I had a great TM leading the show and she made the whole thing. Think I would now fall into the camp of being sad if it went (although that may depend on what they bring in instead. I could probably get on board with something Fast and Furiousy

I'm hearing a rumor that Beetlejuice may be staying but moving to the Fear Factor stage,so say bye bye to Fear Factor.Disaster will be removed as well and the entire theme of the San Francisco area becoming Los Angeles to fit with Fast and Furious. This rumor also mentioned that aside from Fast and Furious and the Jimmy Fallon NYC ride going in there will also be a new attraction going in next to MIB.
