Are there any DVC folks that go over Thanksgiving week??

It has nothing to do with Black Friday (just that was an easy way to state the day). That is the first day of Christmas Decorations fully up, the Christmas storytellers are out, and any other Christmas events starts including the Candlelight Processional therefore everyone who was staying for just a day or 2 after Thanksgiving go to Epcot that day because they can't see the Christmas stuff earlier in the week, also many locals come in to see the Christmas stuff, then there are those who are just coming in for the time after Thanksgiving that decide to see things on the first day. It ends up being a really crowded day specifically at Epcot.

We went to EC the day after on our 1st or 2nd trip and we literally walked in as far as MouseGears and LEFT. LOL We always LEAVE the day after. We will no longer stay and leave on Sat.

We don't go the week of Thanksgiving but we go immediately after. Crowds are heavy but manageable.

We have stayed at SSR, AKV and BCV, going back to BCV this year.

We usually try to avoid the peak times, but coincidentally, we went both Thanksgiving week and the week after Easter this year. I found the week after Easter to be worse than Thanksgiving, but maybe the crowds were just harder to handle in the heat. We did not do rope drop much either time.

We did Thanksgiving week (leave on Fri) in 2013 and are doing it this year and for the next five at least. Honestly I thought it would be worse. We did however, change into commando mode and got up and out early, and left the park by lunch.

I much prefer the week before Thanksgiving but I can't pull my kids out of school for an entire week anymore.

We went this Thanksgiving with my ILs and it wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be. However, we arrived on Tuesday to horrible rains that continued into Wednesday -- so the weather kept folks at bay. While it rained that Wed morning we got a ton done at MK but once the sun came out, so did the crowds. Just be prepared for the crowds and get in the parks early! I'd do it again!
