Official 2015 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread.

Entering week 10 of training! The smoke from all the forest fires is really heavy in the air the sun is like a red ball cutting through smoke. No smell or anything just heavy in the sky. We need rain! The sun continues! This is a mind bender week with those to back to back runs I have them set up for Tuesday and Wednesday. Ah a piece of cake! Wrapping my foot slow and steady making those miles. Hope everyone has a great week! Happy Training!

5-mile race for me yesterday. Not a PR but a pretty decent pace for me...but the sun totally zapped me and I felt terrible for the rest of the day. Huge headache that I just couldn't shake. :(

Got the Galloway 2-mile/9.5-mile back-to-back coming up on Friday/Saturday. Dumbo is getting closer!!

Hope you feel better, headaches are the pits. The weather brings mine on. Dumboing along!

Hoping to do the 2/9.5 this weekend too. I may bump day 2 down to 8. I've only done 7 so far. Concerned a 2.5 mile bump might be terrible.

60 day mark for me today! This is getting so real!
Thinking about a character breakfast after the 10k. Anyone have experience with PCH Grill or storytellers cafe for bfast?

I'm a little late with this answer but I went to Storytellers last year and the food was pretty good. Characters though never came to my table and like some may have mentioned I think it's a different deal there. Seemed to be no handlers with them. Plus I was byself so that may be why they didn't come over too.

First reservation made for the weekend - Steakhouse 55.

So - the 2014 Half Marathon Guide was made available on July 8th last year. I guess now it's a race to see what we "see" first - medals, or the event guide. :confused3

The dates aren't going to quite match up because last year's half was on August 31 - so about a week earlier than this year.

But yeah, I was definitely expecting the medal preview by now. :confused3

Welcome @RadioFanatic !!

This morning I upped my shorter run to 40 minutes (I'd been doing 35 minutes for the Tuesday/Thursday Galloway runs). The first 5-10 minutes were terrible (heavy legs, sluggish feeling...probably a result of packing our kitchen up for 3-4 hours yesterday to get ready for a renovation :faint:) but once I got warmed up I felt soooo much better.

The 5K is 60 days from today!! Woohoo! :yay:

Thanks! I made our first ADR today too. Lunch on Friday at Wine Country Trattoria for a little carb-loading.

I grabbed an "early" ADR for breakfast at the Plaza after watching y'all run the 5K!

Hopefully, the hours from last year will be roughly similar to this year (with the exception of Thursday night because of the Anniversary Party), because it will be nice to get into the park and get some pictures on Main Street/Partners Statue before the crowds hit.

Just waiting on Sunday and Monday to open up, as well as the Fantasmic! dinner packages (if they're available) for Thursday night.

Paging @Ariel484 and all the other D&B gals!

Dooneys are up! I hate that they're using tiny thumbnails, but here goes:

This is the link to order!

I wish they'd post size measurements for the bags...:headache: And bigger pics obviously...

But yeah, gonna grab me one of those! I think I like it better than the 60th bags (what I can see of it, anyway).

I love that they have Dumbo AND the Magic Mirror.
I love that they are grey and not white. Basically I just love them.

What I don't love...those prices are before Active.com fees. Total prices:

Wristlet - $112.72
Letter Carrier - $250.74
Shopper Tote - $308.25

I've heard that you can pre-order a bag, then pick out your bag at the expo, return the bag and re-buy it so that you get the Active.com fees back. I'm definitely going to try that, and am going to see if they'll give me a Disney Visa discount. Couldn't hurt. :confused3
