Recent Air Miles Mega Miles Offer

Has anyone received the 1,250 Air Miles from the recent Mega Miles offer yet (I know it says it can take up to 90 days)? The fine print says that only 60,000 Air Miles collectors will be receiving the Air Miles, but doesn't specify how those 60,000 people will be selected.
 
I have not received my bonus air miles from the offer, and I did not read the small print. :( I sure hope I get them.
 
oh woe is me, I just checked my account right now since i'm in the process of planning a trip to Vancouver in September and noticed that i received a MASSIVE 5 miles for that "special event" :lmao: But dang, since we're ONYX members i'm able to snag a stay at a Spa/Resort on the Island in a room that overlooks the beach that has a fireplace, full kitchen and private balcony, breakfast and some special spa sumtin or other for 1,600! I think that has to be one of my best finds ever!! Add to that the overnight stay in the hotel that is INSIDE Pearson for only 940 this will be a pretty cheap trip since hubby is going on business the stay once we get there will be free!
 


My wife & I did my five sponsors , (one was a $120 bottle of Belvedere Vodka & an $80 bottle of Tequila at the LCBO). I did not recall reading about only 60,000 as I have never seen this before. I will be severely upset with A/M if this is true. Having said this, I have just spent the last 25 minutes on the phone with A/M and anyone who did the five sponsors will get their Bonus 1,250 airmiles. Anyone who entered the free spin (2 for ONYX and 1 for others) are qualified for the chance to win one of 60,000 bonus A/M. . This is what I was told by an ONYX Rep.
 


Five minutes after I call A/M , I get a phone call back from them to tell me that it actually is the first 60,000 people who qualify with the first sponsors will get them...GRRRRRR

Brutal. I kind of feel scammed now. :(
 
My main complaint was that all the coupons could not be used at the same time. Some could be used the first week of May while others that I used could not be used till the last week of May. It does'nt make sense if you are having a first come basis, that all coupons could be used at the same time. JMHO but I think that A/M really messed this promo up
 
I started an online chat with Airmiles, and this is what I found out...

The miles will be in your account by August 30. Thanks for your patience.

A maximum of 60,000 qualifying AIR MILES Collector accounts will receive the 1250 Bonus Reward miles. The qualifying Collectors are based on the first 60,000 Collectors who use five or more different coupons at 5 different sponsors during the month of May.

We are confident that the vast majority, if not all of the Collectors, who use at least five different coupons at 5 different sponsors during the month of May will get the 1250 miles, based on activity we have seen in past Canada-wide events we run each year.

And when I asked if I was one of the 60,000: At this time, I am unable to confirm that. That information will not be able until August when the miles are posted. I regret the inconvenience.

We wait and see what happens I guess. :)
 
I was afraid it would be "first come, first served" so to speak. It took us a while to buy the needed litres of gas for one of the coupons. Thanks to everyone for the info. Here's to hoping we all get the Air Miles.
 
Wow, now I'm kind of glad I didn't pursue this. Usually I get the majority of my miles from Safeway and gas purchases, but I know I would need to spend on things I didn't really want/need in order to meet the 5 sponsors requirement, and I know it would likely take me a bit to get there. If I spent needlessly and then didn't get the bonus miles because I took too long...I'd be super upset. I didn't notice anything about this on the promo flyer...it seems really sneaky to me.
 
Thanks, everyone, for taking the time to post and for the update(s). I was wondering this morning (after checking our balance) when we "might" receive the bonus miles. We tried to make all of our purchases within the first week of May; however, magazine subscriptions through Rogers took a bit of time to post. Fingers crossed that we all receive the miles - thanks to all of you, I now know not to expect anything within the next little while. Have a great day!:earsgirl:
 
I hope I get mine. I used all 5 coupons by about May 12th, I think. Definitely before the 15th. All the coupon miles have been applied (still an impressive amount) just waiting for the 1250. I guess I'll have to see in August.
 
Just wanted to share some good news to say that I've just checked my air miles balance and the 1250 bonus points are now showing! The transaction wasn't appearing earlier today, so I was surprised to see that we received them. Hoping that others have the same good fortune! :sunny:
 
Good to hear that people are starting to see the miles coming in. I just checked my account and nothing there yet.
