still get charged the full price? I read that, at QS restaurants, if you ask for the sandwich with no sides, you "usually" get $2 off. Since, on solo trips, I rarely eat the sides, this sounds like a great idea to me to save money and food. However, I'm nervous about the possibility of asking for just the sandwich with no sides (the chips or french fries, usually), but then getting the receipt and finding out I was charged the full price. Has this ever happened to anyone? If so, where? And if you have been successful anywhere, I'd like to know about that too.

I asked for the sandwich only a few times on our most recent trip and had no issues.

The only time I got charged the full price, I was warned ahead of time by the server that even though I asked for no sides, the price would be the same. I can't recall where it was, but I think it was Restaurantosaurus...

Yes. My DH asked for a sandwich but no chips and was charged the full price. We think it was a language issue, the CM working did not understand English very well. He tried to get a refund, but the worker had to get a manager who wasn't available at the time, no refund ever happened. They were busy and it was clearly not a high priority.

That's what I'm afraid of. I guess the safest thing to do is to ask the CM "If I get just the sandwich without the sides, will the price be the same or less?"

I recommend, "how much for just the sandwhich." Avoid yes/no questions, and never give choices. You're more likely to get a complete answer that way.
