It's My Birthday & I'll Disney if I Wanna! ~ A Dec 2015 PTR - COMPLETE!

I have a second contribution for my princess club entry...
My wrist tiara (aka Pandora bracelet):
IMG_20150626_183514.jpg

It's a little hard to tell, but from left to right its the 2015 bead, the castle clasp, and the swirl mickey bead.

It was really hard to get that picture - I haven't worn the bracelet in a while so it was stiff and a little small on parts of my wrist (it stretches after you wear it for a little bit) and I couldn't really move the beads to where the clasp is very easily.

I am thinking more and more that I might do this! :cutie:
Billie - an update on the two MB covers that I ordered from Magic Your Band - I received my order and for $10.20 I got five bands, two of each of the styles that I ordered and a free red with white polka dots cover band. I'm not sure why they sent two sets of the same style, maybe in case I messed up or maybe to give to a friend, but it is nice to have the extra ones. And I am very excited to have the free red polka dot cover. ::MinnieMo

It is nice to receive the cover bands before the Magic Bands ship, because now I know to change my order to a red band for the bonus polka dot cover. I had planned to put my Halloween cover band on an orange MB, but once the cover band order arrived, I realized that the Halloween one would look better on a yellow band, which I already had. So now I am switching my MB order from orange to red. :)

I have to wait until the red MB ships, sometime near the end of Sept, before I can finish decorating them. I always paint the Mickey heads to match a color in the band. They look better than way. Decorating MB's can be addictive and fun, too. :)

Congrats on booking POR! We stayed in Alligator Bayou. The resort is so pretty. We are seriously considering a kid free trip in Nov. 2016 for our 15th anniversary.

I like the unicorn hair, though I would do just a purple streak.

Wrist tiara! I love it! I've looked into these before, but I have such a large wrist (9.5") that I never get to wear pretty bracelets. :( I'm super jelly!

I love this! I'm so happy that worked out REALLY well for you!!! I want to photos when they're all done! ::yes::

Yay, thanks for the vote of confidence on POR! I'm looking forward to it. And I totally advocate a kid-fee anniversary trip! :thumbsup2

I'm over streaks. I've had my hair all kinda of wild colors... You know, back before I had a grown-up job. :sad2: There's just something about a head full of pastel rainbows that makes me happy, though! UUUUUUNICORN!!!! :cutie:

Since I have made another update to my Trip Report, here is another

Where am I??

Just stopping by to see how you are doing. Any fun/interesting plans for 4th of July? Mine are sort of Disney related...will be working that day! LOL

Have a good week!

Maybe the bathrooms right near the magic carpets ride in MK?

We will be celebrating the 1st here in Canada lol...so...no plans for the 4th...other than getting ready to watch my crazy hubby doing a half IronMan on the 5th...gah. On the 1st we are walking in a Canada day parade with my dog who is a therapy dog...so that will be fun....those are the plans :))

What about you? I know lots of Americans go all out for the 4th...one day I'd love to be in the USA for that...and actually go to a party where someone goes all out with themed red, white and blue food and fireworks and stuff! We do that on a small scale here...but we're just not that patriotic lol

Ya'll are hilarious. :rotfl:

Sorry for my absence. Keep in mind I that work in the travel world. And this is 4th of July weekend. So you can probably imagine how insane my week has been. :faint: I've had stolen moments where I could peek in here, but that's about all the DIS time I've had.

I will get caught up soon! My hope is to do a whole mess of DISing tomorrow, but no promises. Thanks for not forgetting me, girls! :grouphug:

Thank you for thinking of me, Lynn! And for helping to keep this thread alive in my absence! I was off all weekend, hallelujah! I needed it!

We are not that family. We just do food. Burgers, hot dogs, etc. It was a good time! :goodvibes

Hi Billie! Just checking in to say hello! :)
Hello! :wave2: Sorry for my absence, life hasn't allowed for a whole lot of DIS time recently!

Anyone? anyone? Bueller? Bueller? :rolleyes1
You're a dork. :rotfl:

92 days until FP+! :cutie:
152 days until WDW!

**************************************************

Hey, ya'll! :grouphug:

Okay, I'm all caught up now on all of your PTRs and TRs! I think. I hope. If I'm wrong, feel free to nudge me and let me know! I'm well aware that I've been slacking for at least 2 weeks now! :headache:

So with that, and replies here, finished up... I figured I better do an update before ya'll start coming after me with pitchforks all Gaston-style. :scared:

Truth be told, I don't have a whole lot to update about! My quiet little life is totally boring to the outside observer! As previously mentioned, work has been pretty insane, due to 4th of July, plus just the usual summer travel. I'm hoping to see it slow down this week, though... I need a breather!

This December 2015 trip will be completely financially secure by the end of this month. The WDW package itself is already paid for, and my additional savings (ECV, car rental, gas, tips, spending money, etc) will all tucked away safely before July 31st. So THAT will be a big accomplishment and a huge relief! :goodvibes

During the months of August-October, I will be saving for a much-needed new laptop. Then starting in November, I'll begin hording aside the required funds for the October 2016 trip. Speaking of which, I'm already considering extending it by a day. (Who didn't see that coming? Anybody?) :P

I want to give a big thank you to the lovely @NJlauren! She saw my last post about the MagicBand decals, and is sending me some of her extra ones! SO SWEET!!! Thank you so much, Lauren! Once they get here and I have a chance to try them out, I'll post photos, of course!

I'm hoping to do the Disney and Harry Potter iron-ons and make my shirts for this trip next weekend too, maybe! Need to get with Mama and see if that is cool with her, since she's the one with the skills. I just have the vision! :scratchin

Did most of you Americans manage to score a 3-day weekend for the holiday? I did, I was off Friday through today (it's Sunday night as I'm writing this), and it was glorious!

On Thursday evening, the work wife and I had our monthly sushi and sake date. She and her husband are taking their first ever kid-free trip to Walt Disney World tomorrow, staying 4 nights at CSR. It will also be her first time staying on property, having a dining plan, and using a MagicBand. She's pretty stoked, so needless to say, she was picking my brain a lot.

Then on Friday, we went for lunch, shopping, and Magic Mike XXL.

Saturday and today was spent doing dinner with the family and scoring leftovers en masse. :thumbsup2

I haven't posted any cat pictures lately, so here's one from a few nights ago. This is our recliner snuggle ritual...

It's a weird angle, I know, but it was the best way to get them both in the photo. Butters is happily parked in his favorite spot: Laying on the footrest and curled up between my knees (he's actually laying there at this moment as I type this, too). Harley likes to climb over him and up to lay on my belly & chest (like in the above photo), or he will lay left armrest of the chair, pressed up against my side (which is where he he is right now). And forgive my nightgown and chubby legs, but pants are evil. ::yes::

...Every. Single. Day. :thumbsup2

Okay, that's all I got for this update. Have a great week, ya'll! :cutie:

Whelp... this is what happens when I take a 3 week hiatus from the Disboards... i'm 10 pages behind! :faint:

Yay for your 10/2016 trip and 3 day weekends! We got to enjoy a mini-vacation on the lake for the 4th and it was wonderful.

And I agree 100%... pants are evil. Heavenly choruses sing when my maxi dress (aka socially acceptable pajamas) comes out of the dryer clean and ready to wear once again!

Still working on getting that tiara pic and getting caught up. Glad you had a nice holiday!

I agree, pants are evil. So are bras. ;)

Great job on the savings!

I can relate! I haven't been around at all for the last week, and barely here for the last three weeks. Welcome back to both of us!

That sounds like a lovely holiday! My parents were thinking about taking their boat out, but the forcast was calling for thunderstorms. They did eventually roll in that evening for a couple of hours, so we kept it low-key... grilling burgers and hot dogs out on their screened-in patio. :thumbsup2

I love maxi dresses!... in theory. They're so cute on most women, and SO COMFORTABLE, but I can't wear them. With the way I'm shaped (mostly belly), they just look and feel like a tent or a mumu on me! :scared:

Looking forward to that tiara pic, lady! princess:

Great job on the savings!
Thanks!!! It feels good to have it all in savings so far in advance of the trip! :thumbsup2

:wave2:
I wish i had something paid for.. I am slacking in that department!!!
Get it together, lady! :sad2: :P

Pants aren't that bad ...
Try walking around in a skirt all day - then you'll be glad when you can come home and throw on pajama pants!

Ack! :crazy2: I think for me it would depend on the skirt. In the 90s, when the long elastic-waist Bohemian "broomstick" skirts were popular, I LIVED in those things. They were so freakin' comfortable. I'm really looking forward to the day that they come back into fashion!

Plus pajama pants totally don't count as real pants, anyhow! They are their very own classification of comfy. :cloud9: Real pants are the evil!
