Parking at Magic Kingdom

I have a 3.5 year old with autism and a baby. We are visiting Magic Kingdom at the busiest time in August. I have a double buggy which will be too bulky to fold and put on the tram (due to special equipment attached to it). My daughter has not got a disabled parking permit as in the UK they usually do not issue them until they are out of a buggy and into a wheelchair. Therefore, we cannot use the disabled parking. Do they do any sort of priority parking that you can pay extra for? We just need to be able to walk to the monorail/boat rather than getting the tram. Thanks for any advice.

I would pay to valet at the contemporary. It's only a few dollar more than ttc and you can easily walk to mk from there

You can't park all day at the Contemporary unless you are a guest of the resort. There is no preferred parking. Are you staying on resort? Try taking Disney transportation.

I would use the valet at the Contemporary. I also have booked BLT for some stays, to make my life easier getting to MK. We drive to the other parks.

You can't. I've tried and I have a handicap tag. They request proof you stay there or if you are eating there you get a few hours. That's it. Valet or not. No parking at CT or Poly or GF and going into the parks. I've read reports of people being towed. Don't do it!

I'm sorry but you are incorrect. If you pay for valet you can park there all day. There may be a couple days when valet if full or you can't park there for another reason, but generally, as long as you valet you are fine. I have done it. I have asked at the valet stations. If you search around you can find dozens of threads about people legally using valet parking not just at the contempo but other resorts (beach club, boardwalk etc). They may request proof or check the adr list if you self park and they may town people who self park and go to the theme parks, but valet is separate.

You can think of the resort parking lot going through different stages of closure. At really busy times (they don't use such terms as Level 4 Closure) but the guard might turn you away with no option to use valet parking.

Otherwise the valet fee allows unlimited parking time that day and also valet parking hopping.

Is the special equipment on the stroller (buggy) related to a disability? If so you can inquire at a resort or at Downtown Disney about a "stroller as wheelchair" tag. They will also give some advice about how to get from the parking lot to the park entrance which might consist of an in-house handicapped tag letting you use the in-house handicapped parking or alternatively some way to use the tram anyway.

No in-house handicap parking tag or placard exists. Parking in a designated space without a state-issued permit will garner a $250 fine.

stroller as a wheelchair is issued by guest relations at the park, not at dtd or the hotels. It is only for park attractions (to bring a stroller in areas where they normally are not allowed).

These 2 posters are correct.

There is no resort issued parking tag or placard. The handicapped parking spots are marked by a sign or blue painted separation lines (not necessarily a wheelchair symbol); either is recognized under Florida law as valid marking for handicapped parking spots. The parking lots at the parks are patrolled by police and they do ticket guests parking in those spots who do not have valid handicapped state-issued parking permits.

Stroller as wheelchair tags (and DAS - Disability Access Service) are issued only by Guest Relations at the theme parks and are only meant for the theme parks (not even the water parks).

One thing you could do is let the parking lot CMs know that you do not have a handicapped parking permit, but have a non-folding medical stroller. They do save spots on the end of rows and near the handicapped parking for situations like that. Just be sure not to park in any spot with blue painted lines or signs.
