Ill be staying at Cabana Bay next May and was going to spend some quality me time in Citywalk. Does anyone have a drink around Citywalk checklist? Ive always just gone to Universal for the day so I havent properly explored Citywalk...Teleclashter Im looking for some advice!

pull up the citywalk website to find the locations of where you can drink there.

did you check out the happy hour thread in this forum?

I know the whole layout of Citywalk but just wanted to know if anyone had their fav drinks. Ill check out the Happy Hour thread thanks

I haven't tried drinking around CityWalk, but if you have never had a Pat O's hurricane (for instance, during a visit to the original location in New Orleans), it is my opinion that this drink is a must-do at least once.

Since my trips to UO have been family trips I haven't done that much drinking there, but try the Beer-Garita at Bubba Gumps. It's a pretty cool drink.

On a side note, I remember eating at Nascar Grill after a very long hot day in the parks. I don't remember the specific words, but the menu was basiclly advertising the "Coldest Beer" you'll ever have. It was a huge disappointment. It really wasn't very cold and no one that worked there seemed to care....lol. Nascar is closed down, so I guess it doesn't matter anymore.

  • Red Coconut - they have a specially priced drinks menu from 6-9 or 7-10 depending on the day of the week. I don't remember the name of the drink but one of them had RumChata in it and it was quite tasty.
  • Bob Marley - not my scene, haven't been there in years so no favorites.
  • Pat O'Brien - They're known for their world famous Hurricane, served in a site specific souvenir glass. Their other specialty drinks are good too, especially Pat's Lemonade. These are also served in souvenir glasses (you'll see on the menu) but they are not site specific. Note that if you order from the window outside instead of going into the bar, drinks will be served in disposable plastic cups.
  • Fat Tuesday - premixed frozen concoctions. I've gotten drinks from here twice and each time I felt miserable the next day. Drink at your own risk.
  • The Groove - can't think of anything particular here but they've got good bartenders.
  • Antojitos - enjoy a margarita or sip (yes, I said sip, not shoot) a shot of one of the smooth tequilas from their extensive menu.
  • Rising Star - their Strong Island used to be great but last visit it didn't live up to previous standards. But they do have some interesting options on their specialty drink menu.
  • Margaritaville/Lone Palm - a margarita or a Landshark lager.
  • Vivo - try a nice Italian red.
  • The Cowfish - fairly extensive specialty drinks menu. Unless you like super sweet, avoid the one with honey.
